^great shots and congrats on shooting your first wedding!! :)

Thank you! I was surprised at how easy peasy it was. I have a feeling it was partly because I lucked out and got the most laid back people for the most laid back wedding known to man, but who knows. The only part that seemed like a "job," per se, was the part after the ceremony and before the reception when they did the routine shots one after the other with the family members and shit. Everything outside of that part of it... I just just treated it like another day out in the field shooting something I was into. It was a LOT of fun. I've seriously never had such a great time at a wedding before. I didn't feel like I was doing a job, I felt like I was one of the groomsmen or something. I'm doing another wedding in September in Pittsburgh, PA. It's supposedly gonna be pretty laid back, too, but a little more formal than this one was so we'll see how it goes. It was just wonderful to get such an easy going group of people in such an informal wedding to get some experience under my belt. I couldn't have asked for a better situation!

undead: All I can say is that I WISH you'd taken the shots of my wedding <3

Tripnotyzm: Beautiful nature shots :)

Here are 2 shots i took while in Bali.

Rice paddies in Tegallalang. Taken with my nifty fifty lens, i'm still getting used to the crop factor, but i was really happy with the sharpness and colour balance (both of which i've had major issues with while learning)

Sunset on Legian Beach - This was with the 18-55 kit lens, but by using manual focus on the camera (not switching to it on the lens), I was able to add some sharpness to my lower-light photos

This one isn't technically special, but in light of all the discussion around marriage equality, I thought it was quite lovely, given that it's been permanently recorded in front of the Grand Palace in Ubud <3

I recently went for a wander in the valleys of North Wales and was very impressed by the natural and man-made beauty.

In the valleys I was privileged not only to glimpse but to pet and fondle a very rare species of North Welsh Drug Pig. These beasts are very curious, affectionate, and reward gentle handling.

We have a lot to learn from these delightful creatures and I hope they will continue to share their secrets with us for many years to come!

<3

Fuck, why's this gone in here? It was meant for an EADD thread. Blame the drugs!

This means a lot to me! <3 Thanks, love! You're doing a pretty damn good job yourself. I told ya, once ya get at it, so long as you really love doing it, you learn quickly! I like what you're doin'!

Also... there's a lot of really cool shots in this thread since the last time I was hear! Bravo!!! Seyer, that place looks like a great place to be! I'm jealous!

Here's a few recent shots of mine:

This is a shot of my sister's boyfriend's sister's daughter (got it?!). She wanted me to get some shots for her family photos.

The King of Surf, Dick Dale... at the Grog Shop (it's my favorite local venue)! If anyone thinks they don't know his music, but you've seen the movie Pulp Fiction... you know his music. His song "Misirlou" plays during the opening of the movie.
