Thanks for the pastey reminder ninja! :D

You have some great shots on your flickr page, fakeplastictrees. I really dig the one called "foggy"... and I LOVE the username. The Bends was the first album I ever owned! I still have it on cassette tape. :D

Here's a few recent shots of mine:

Battery Park had dozens of American Flags flying on September 11th. Each one donning the names of the victims of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

^ Very nice stuff! I especially like the two in the subway! <3

For some reason I've always been attracted to subways, probably because when I'm in one, it means I am in a bigger city than I live in. Those photos capture the vibe I enjoy perfectly. I might desktop one if that would be acceptable? 8)

Thank you much! I think that's the same reason I like subway shots and in particular... utilizing the subway system when I'm in a bigger city. I'm only familiar with the NYC system at the moment, but the day I figured it out... I felt so accomplished. ;)

By all means, desktop em to your heart's content.

Thanks Max! Don't tell me you're already neglecting it!? You should add an inexpensive lens to your collection. It'll give you something different to spark your interest again. After a while, you'll wanna drop more on an expensive one. ;)

I took it out for a spin during a local beer fest . . . only to quickly go into my favorite bar and asked the bartender to hold it for me for the day. :\

But now I'm driving on 2wheels so there's a pristine chance at snapping shots -- when at a full stop that is.

I can't disappoint The Beard.

You do still have the beard, right?

Couple of my snaps - not sure If Ive shared them here before? (If so then humor me :D)

I hope you like this - I had something stuck to my lens (hence the weird shape in the sky) but still think its a great shot.

Sorry for the big dump.. :p

Some in the set are a lot better than others, but I like them as a set. There were a few that were omitted from the project.. both for not suiting, and for standing out a bit too much in that they made the others look less interesting, or lose the emotion in the images as the landscapes were so visually impressive.

Those are just breathtaking.Bravo! I especially love the third from the end.<3

Thanks :)

When the weather is nice I have my siesta at that ruin, it's a beautiful spot for a nap!

Wow Cool thread :) Its interesting seeing everyones interests and genres. I'm going to post a few SCUBA diving pics, the colours aren't the best coz my camera at the time was pretty low quality (i just upgraded cameras, i can't wait to try my new one!)

^ Wow, incredible! Some of those photos are stunning, for what they are as photos, not just because of the amazing subject!

I'd love to go scuba diving.. a whole other world that I have never been able to see..

thx yes its an absolutely amazing sport that gives ample opportunity to take some pictures to reflect on the experience. I am totally addicted to diving. I'd recommend it to anyone

Thank you, neko! That's a gorgeous cherry blossom! May I recommend that you steal it from your neighbor? ;)

Volundr, I'm curious (if you don't mind) what the project is? Is it a commissioned project or school? Just wondering. The set is amazing. I love the atmosphere of them! And I have to admit... I'm completely enthralled by this shot:

That looks like a shot you'd see in TIME magazine or something of the like. Very nice!

aussie, those are some really cool shots regardless of camera quality, but I'm definitely interested to see what you do with a nicer camera! No need to downplay what you have there, though. The composition is there and the photos still look good!

Neither! Just a personal project, a collection of photos of the Catalan Pyrenees, an attempt to present them, in an emotive and a little mysterious yet simple manner. I'm trying to have a theme, or project in mind when going out and shooting now, it seems to be improving my work.. makes me think more about each shot and what I'm choosing to have in the frame and present to the viewer.

And thanks! It's much appreciated! I don't have many people to show my photos to, so it's nice to have positive feedback :)
