I remember reading about that. I am hanging to see it, does anyone know if this has moved onto the DVD world yet?

I have a local Lackluster that just happens to be blessed to have an owner who respects doco film :D

It was released on DVD on June 12th of this year

^I also really enjoyed Sunshine. :)

Watched Sicko last night - very interesting viewing.

i want to see Sicko, but my hatred for Michael Moore isn't allowing me to :(

do it! he's actually quite a bit more relaxed in this one than in fahrenheit. still annoying, of course. but more manageable.

Anyone who likes sci-fi horrors like Event Horizon look out for a movie called "Sunshine". The cool thing about this movie is it starts off as a "end of the world" type movie, as the plot is based on humanities last chance to restart our dying Sun, but soon enough it goes all sci-fi horror styles and all kinds of cool stuff starts happening! ;)

It's yet to be released in most places but the internet savvy of us will be able to download it soon enough.

I watched it the other night and thought it was pretty cool. Same guy who made 28 days later, and same leading actor. Although this begs the question: would hummanity reeeally ever give a 28 yr old (i dont know how old he is but thats my guess) the job to detonate the bomb that would save the planet... plus how the hell is he a qualified nuclear physicist at his age! I know, I know, don't ask too many questions when it comes to sci-fi or it ruins the whole movie...

Yet to be released? It's been and gone several months back at the cinemas...

I saw this movie and left thinking wow. That and my eyes are burning.

Saw Brick the other night, This high school staged film noir was brilliant. Tight camera work and the dialogue, snappy and hard boiled. It tapered off towards then end I felt, but it still wouldn't stop me from watching this again, fantastic.

Also watched Conquerer of Shambala, which is the Full Metal Alchemist movie. Was okay, but not spectacular. Can't really reveal much of it without giving away spoilers, but it just seemed to be lacking too much of what made the series so great.

backed completely

I saw The Simpsons Movie.
Going into it, I knew I was going to be underwhelmed.
I was right.

Funniest part of the movie was when a character said 'sequel'. This fucking [edit - removed racist remark] in front of us made a puzzled look at his mate, and his mate had to explain to him "yo, it means there will be a part two bro!"

Awesome movie, if I still did LSD I'd so watch it on that. Check it out.

I saw Die Hard 4.0 today at Hoyts Directors Suite.

Good flick! Stupidly over the top and the one liners are so cheesy....but the action is full on and it doesn't try to be serious, which is what makes it good.

It has the guy from the Mac ad in it too. And I think the bad guy is one of the guys from the TV show Las Vegas. Quite hot. =D

4/5 - no 5 out of 5 cos its Hollywood commercialism and general "blockbusteriness" makes it not quite "high brow" enough for me. Hehehe. Still a top movie though! Bruce Willis is a legend.

I'm really looking forward to "Stardust", based on the comic miniseries/novel by Neil Gaiman. Claire Dane, Michelle Pfeffier and Charlie Cox are in it.

I love Neil Gaiman's writing, and Stardust was the first novel of his I read. I heard that he was involved in the making of the movie, which can only be a good thing.

Trailer looks pretty good: http://movies.nytimes.com/2007/08/10/movies/10star.html?ref=movies

I have just read the new york times review though, which wasn't exactly positive. A reader had commented that it was quite good though.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry:
tbh pretty crap. not funny and weak + unbelievable story-line. yeah I guess still somewhat entertaininig, albeit mildly.

don't waste ur $$ seeing this at the cinemas

Yea I heard that movie sucked.

Jessica Biels ass might be worth giving it a watch for though ;)

Meh - I like Joderowski - but "Sante Sangre" is far and away his best movie. "Holy Mountain" is almost unwatchably bad. "El Topo" is better than HM too... but still fairly stupid
