It's very much about what you personally prefer- it sounds like you know how each of these substances affect you, so I'd make a decision from there.
If you enjoy candyflipping, but you are not certain how a hippyflip would go, your choice is to go for something familiar that feels "safe", or to do something new and exciting that you may really enjoy (or not). Though many people choose festivals to be a place to try new things, it's really best to save new experiences for environments with fewer people, less security and police, and more familiar surroundings IMO. Some people enjoy the excitement of trying something new and not knowing how it will go.
