i can't figure out if it's for an editorial or where it is being exhibited besides tumblr and other blogs. which means i can't figure out who oroma is wearing. she reminds me bardot. the dress and cigarette add to that. i like the dress--looks moschino. oroma does more than modeling; she also has some plans for and work history in the publication business. girl has got the lips and eyes.

tumblr actually helped me credit a photographer! dani brubaker is the one who takes all the thylane portraits. Kenickie already knows this because she was on tumblr when i figured it out. but this thread isn't just public PMs between her and i. Joe and PiP waver in and out. there's an occasional random comment. sometimes a bluelighter sticks it out for a page or two. and one day we will have many, many regulars. one day.

brubaker is amazing! like a sunny, less talented, over focused sally mann--a huge compliment.

does fashion editorials too...

mackenzie foy wearing armani junior--looks pretty couture--for the cover of the latest L'Officiel Enfant. there are better resolution pics on google, but this is the best without the cover text.

children's fashion is usually pretty boring. a good example is Blumarine's line, Miss Blumarine. when i heard about it, i had absurdly high expectations. i don't think i made it 30 seconds into watching one of the shows. a combination of revolting and just nothing. like child beauty pageants meets crazy women buying apparel for their lapdogs. the models are too young (for my taste; i only give the slightest fuck about ethics in fashion), ridiculously made-up, and nothing special--mash without any defined characteristics. if a child model is a photogenic freak, it doesn't take long for the real fashion world to find her--ondria, katiusha, daphne, thylane (but mommy pulled the plug on that), etc.

mackenzie is an exception. kinda--all her best pics are portrait, not fashion. i found her because someone mislabeled a pic of her as thylane. unfortunately, unlike thylane's parents, mackenzie is allowed to do movies. so her tumblr tag and google image search have since become plagued by Twilight fans. some article i read says thylane's parents have refused like a dozen film offers! anyway, by brubaker...

chanel has a trailer out for one of those fashion films that is going to be released may 8th. has lindsey in it.

they also finally posted their f/w show. well, like a month ago. but i had moved past f/w shows and didn't notice until today. will watch it sometime tonight. actually, there are a few shows i need to go back and watch. i was protesting because so many wouldn't stream through apple tv, but i updated to mountain lion and the air mirroring is acceptable. far from the quality of apple tv streaming. i imagine chanel will work through apple tv. all their past shows have.

oh, and ali michael is down with Spring Breakers...

i still haven't heard anything from opening ceremony about my order. hopefully that means they are expecting another shipment.

sick of chanel's non-runways and choppy editing. barely catch flashes of each outfit. the thigh-high boots are hideous. the clothes are otherwise nice. especially during the first half of the show. especially the outfits with a bit more color. daphne walks. my first impression of her outfit is not positive.

ok hydro, i gotta know what your set up is like. because for shows i have given up on streaming through the apple tv and am plugging my laptop in to the tv directly with HDMI cable and altering my sound settings on my computer so it plays through the tv on my pretty 1970s fleetwood mac speakers. sometimes i like it so much i tumblr through the tv and see the pictures all big and pretty in high def, even if it's just an illusion. take a picture, show me what you are working with.

it's fine if this thread is just a big open PM of our tumblr lives. we're interesting enough.

lately i'm obsessed with 90s photos of kate moss and naomi campbell hanging out together. in airports, backstage, wearing stupid slip dresses because it's 1997 and that's what we did back then. wore slips as dresses.

i want this one as my wallpaper but of course -- shit.

also because i work for a graffiti conference now and i'm just like drowning in street art it's really cool when my two interests (graffiti, fashion) merge in a way that's really cool and not just like, writers doing bags for louis vuitton. although that is cool too.

tumblr of course is a blessing and a curse. photos, all in shitty quality. i'm hoping that as tumblr grows, this will be less and less of a problem. remember, just a year ago the gif limit was 500kb. we are now at 1mb. hope springs eternal that they will gradually do the same with the size limit for photographs. i don't know if any of the old scripts work since i switched browsers when i upgraded my OS because safari just works so much better. but i had one which made all the dashboard photos show up as their original size. sure, made it weird at some parts (like when people would post photos like that one of tilda swinton in david bowie's music video that was like 3,000x1,900 or whatever) but it was worth seeing which ones were big great hi res and which ones were just tiny shitty jpegs. i don't save anything as jpegs, ever, only pngs. because fuck jpegs. i also don't save many photos at all because that's what tumblr is for -- my living breathing archive. writing this post right now i just typed like four different tags into the url bar to pull up the photos i needed.

god i fucking love tumblr. i hate it when people don't use tags because how the fuck am i supposed to search your blog?

sorry i'm not posting lately honey. i'll be better.

also i have been getting full body waxes and my eyebrows threaded every month. it's really amazing. having all the hair ripped out of your cunt by a total stranger is really, really underrated. plus they gave me this punch card where after 5 brazilians i get a free facial.

hello there, hope all is well in your neck of the woods =). cool wes a prada film dripping with his swagger. not familiar with léa seydoux but upon viewing my first thought was "o0o who is that?" lil coincidence i strolled through sephora and took a sniff of the latest "prada luna rossa" pleasant, clean, fresh, soapy-ish scent.

the met gala happened recently. models went. elle's pics don't put her in the running for best dressed--both wore rodarte; dakota's looks much better--but her earring was awesome...

the rodarte earring was on openingceremony.us for a moment. i had seen it before, thought it was cool, and am very happy to see a pic of elle wearing it. little girls having their ears pierced is great by me; elle wearing an earring that does not require a piercing is still all pure and radiant. from rodarte's instagram. but it said "REGRAM," so maybe the photo originated elsewhere. i am not familiar with instagram. beyond it being more complicated than drag and drop to steal photos from. while i was in the process...

sorry. i've been in all the wrong threads. haven't even told anyone about like the last 10 movies i've seen.

kiko makes that hoodie adorable. i'm ready for the blu-ray release. though the more i think about it, the more the weakly executed climax gets to me. hopefully i'm putting too much emphasis on it because of time.

i've been watching that wonderland's tumblr account since you posted the link, Joe. it's grade A, but also really selective so it gets overpowered by my other follows. a lot of the hearts on the blog are Lula photos.

louis vuitton needs some change.

haven't really paid enough attention to the resort lines. sucks because they always kickass and there is no going back. hard enough to keep up. not too late yet. just been playing a season by concentrating on biannuals. but the good fun comes from seeing it walked and then seeing it show up in editorials a few months later. now that there's this awesome magazine store on my lunch walk; its gotten bad. was going to say i gotta get a new apple tv because i moved outta my parents' place, but i guess i better wait on that and talk to Kenickie about cables first.

anais is in that Rush gif. she is in this magazine called The Lab Magazine. her editorial is good stuff. not enough to sell me. i was counting on it being easily available online. i'm sure it's on thefashionspot. or will be.
