Zolpidem/Ambien after LSD

Jamaica said it well, be real careful when mixing a psychedelic such as LSD with a substance that is prone to producing amnesia. I have experienced a 2 day insane blackout on a big dose of LSD and some Alprazolam. Now Ambien/Zolpidem gives you amnesia WAY faster, it is known this more than stuff like Valium. There are benzo's that are also quite prone to it.
You enter a super vague headspace in which you can easily eat more Ambien without realizing how bad an idea it is. Taking Ambien and directly going to sleep, now that should be OK. But I wouldn't try that while peaking or something, wait till the actual comedown.

Hey now that sounds like a good legal safe drug to have pushed on the public while keep mj illegal. I have had ambien few times and was seeing double while not remembering anything. It certainly did not feel safe. Whatever happened to good old Rorer or Lemon 714's? Reds? Tuis's? How do we end up going in a direction to make things purported as safer yet are really more dangerous? Crazy.

Back on topic. Now that I've stated my peace I would not take a dangerous drug like ambien with a safe drug like LSD.

Have you seen the commercial for ambien?

Less serious Ambien side effects may include:

daytime drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, feeling "drugged" or light-headed;

lack of coordination;

amnesia, forgetfulness;

vivid or abnormal dreams;

nausea, constipation;

stuffy nose, sore throat;

headache, muscle pain; or

blurred vision.

Yea, this seems like a perfectly safe drug to give to people to make them go to sleep.... No fear of danger....

Fire is hot, knives are sharp and NO, you can not fly.

Yeah, I have Jamaica. I get really angered at these pharm commercials. I am astounded when they come on TV. Are people that dumb to buy what they are told when it comes to drugs? They believe marijuana is harmful yet some of these meds that change brain fluids are safe? People really need to start questioning this crap. Don't just listen to your doctor. Listen to us God damn it! LOL
 
After one wierd experience I had, I'm very careful with how I use ambien. Unlike alcohol and many benzos where you start to feel too fucked up before you black out, ambien seems to trigger amnesia/blackout way before you feel "too fucked up." If you have any more drugs on you, its very likely you're going to take them. I got really weepy and spilled my life story to some kids I had just met, totally out of character for me. Long blackout periods despite the fact that I was still able to ambulate, hold conversations, prepare/use more drugs, etc. Very weird shit. Combining that with a mindfuck psychedelic like LSD seems like a bad idea, unless you had a very dedicated trip spotter.

Yea, my sister who isn't even really depressed was told to take zoloft....

She is a definitely bipolar but far from needing to be medicated for depression... If she was depressed i would know, she knows i have been there....

She decided to not start taking it after i explained how it causes permanent changes in brain chemistry that would keep her from every really rolling or tripping again...

Its astounding how these drugs for everything from depression to erectile dysfunction with side effects ranging from stuffy nose to hallucinations, to sudden death manage to get FDA approved....

Its also astounding how frequently they prescribe benzos? have these people not seen what years of benzo use does to a person? its fucking horrible, i would rather be addicted to heroin than xanax....
 
I once took (years ago) a combinatin of decent strength blotter and 4ish ambien.. and I do not recommend it unless you have a lot of space, good friends and no chance of being interupted... it will turn you into a mess!

I had quite crazy open eye visuals including some of the best id ever had.. including my friends face growing into a plant like creature.. morphing letters on a computer screen of incredibly small detail.. photographs coming to life... I also distinctly remember watching cars morph and change shape.. appear to have extra wheels / crunching into itself.. I w

The splitting of vision became *Very* pronounced.. when objects / people / cars / anything were a certain distance from me they would become two of the same, side by side, this effect ran long into the morning after and began to worry me because of the duration.. however it did wear off... one of the most amusing visuals this gave me was watching a lady walk her dog down the street in the morning, and just walking behind her was the same lady.. same dog. was completly twisted.. note by this stage the heavy thought disturbing part of the trip was over..

Note I remember very little of the night.. I have few snippets of memorys involving taking risk of driving a car quite a reasnoble distance to drop someone home (!!) which is something I would never normally do while intoxicated.. I am against drink/drug driving in a big way, so it was very out of character for me - this still scares me to the day.

Id much more recomend valium and lsd, valium actually chills you out.. ambien turns things upside down.
 
In my experience, if you:

1. Never, ever use zolpildem recreationally.
2. Only use it after you've attempted to sleep and failed miserably.
3. Use 1 pill, and only 1 pill.
4. Lay in bed and think of jumping sheep (ie actively "try" to sleep).

You'll be out like a light in less than five minutes. 2C-E, MDMA, LSD, 2C-I... all will yield. Just do it when you're actually down and you have residual stimulation you need to get over, and not while you're full on tripping.
 
From over100 experiences with LSD and how to short circuit a bum trip and/or come down and get to sleep faster after a good time, this is what I recommend:

1.) A solid dose of any benzodiazepine (Xanax works fastest but wears off quick too, Halcion will knock you out but has a 2hr half-life, Valium is much more gentle and may not induce immediate sleep, but it lasts much longer........Ativan is my favorite choice, but everyone is different and you've got what you've got). Last resort: Diphenhydramine/Benadryl, Doxylamine Succinate, Melatonin or other "over the counter" crap in mid-heavy doses can knock you out AFTER you peak and are trying to come down and sleep.

2.) A solid dose of any opiate (Strong to Weak: Diacetylmorphine A.K.A. Heroin, regular Morphine, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone or Codeine all work fast orally, IM or IV but wear off fast too. Opium is tough to get but is great to smoke if you can, but my absolute favorite is Methadone because it works fast, is as strong as it gets, and lasts longer than any other opiate, synthetic or not, 24hr half-life). This all adds a euphoria to a come-down too (but be careful dosing benzos w/ opiates; KNOW YOUR TOLERANCE)!!!

3.) LAST RESORT: If absolutely necessary (ONLY TO SHORT-CIRCUIT A BAD TRIP, NOT TO COME DOWN/SLEEP,) an anti-psychotic can be used (typical like promethazine/Thorazine, or Atypical like Risperidone). Go for the Atypicals if you can. Thorazine can kill a trip but leaves you in a mid-state where you're not tripping, not sleeping, clouded, drowsy but awake and feeling like dog crap.

Every time I've tried to trip on ambien, taking 10, 20, 30, even 40 mg, I have ALWAYS just passed out before the trip even starts, apparently one time i called my friend and was tripping balls, but have no recollection of it.

The only thing I remember about ambien, was that for a second I thought I was living in some sort of dorm or apartment complex (i live in a little private townhouse) and I could feel everyones prescence and picture in my mind where they were and what they were doing, crazy weird non-sensical shit
 
LSD + Zolpidem

Apologies if this thread exists somewhere already.

Anybody ever tried this? My first time tripping on acid was on 1/3 of a 250g hit - barely any visuals at all, but did have the euphoric effects, giggles, and connection to the people I was doing it with. Fun day. Anyway, about 13 hours after I dosed and easily 4 or 5 after any effects subsided, I took 10mg Ambien to sleep - 20 minutes later I was hallucinating hardcore. The marks on my dropceiling were migrating to one wall, bleeding down the wall, and on the pattern in the wall there were tree men. My door was flying around my room and I was just enjoying the entire experience. I wish I had more ambien lying around for my next acid trip. :p
 
have to try this. I never got any hallucination from Zolpidem, even at high dosage, the only shit I got is total anteograde amnesia.

But now I got a prescription it's going to help after lsd trip. I remember my first trip. I couldn't sleep for 10hrs...
 
Usually my experience is that taking any depressive will enhance the experience, but at such a late onset, never the type of hallucinations you are describing.

anybody have experience with Meperidine and how it is extracted from Floripondio...

I don't know, but on a side note my girlfriend gets hallucinations from even low doses of ambien. The first time I ever had it I split a 10mg with her, and while I wasn't feeling ANYTHING, she was watching clouds morph into little people walk into a death machine of some kind and geeking her ass off. So I'm assuming there's something different about it. If i take 10-15 mg I get mild distortions and a dxm-like head buzz but any more than that and I just black out. It tends to wake me up more for about an hour and a half then make me tired. It was a strange interaction and unexpected with the lsd, but not something I didn't enjoy - watching tree men form out of the patterns on my walls was quite entertaining. :p
 
Only mixed it with mushrooms, but it was a marvelous trip. Don't remember exact dosage, but it was probably around an 8th and 20mg, and I was in the passengers seat of my friends car. Construction zones looked fucking insane, hundreds of traffic cones everywhere.
 
did ambien with mescaline. went nicely together. did a lil too much ambien tho ha
