Ive read an article solopsis gave me over in PD (good guy by the way) saying that The withdrawal can last along time it usually varies but it is common for people to feel symptoms 2 years after cessation of use. Most of the time people who are dependant feel the majority of the symptoms during the first 30-60days after stopping. This is why it's important to taper this drug or go on to Valium to taper with to make things easier. This drug has been shown to have worse rebound effects than benzos in some cases so don't be fooled this is a benzo in disguise. Makes sense since you can swap zopiclone out with benzos as android already said. Zopiclone can be a substitute for benzos, and benzos can be a substitute for zopiclone.
Yes well that's exactly right paranoid android everybody is different people like me and you don't seem to be as susceptible to benzodiazapine/Z drug addiction whereas others get hooked right away.
My mom never really abused her script near the end she took an extra half or full pill to fall asleep most nights but normally it was 1.5 tablets a night of 7.5mg zopiclone. That's all she took but she took it daily and got dependant after a few months. She's been on it for years but wants to stop due to its short half life and just not wanting to be on the crap any longer in general.
I always hated the stuff myself its not for me, uhh! the taste of heavy metals in your mouth all day everyday no thanks you can keep those pills the taste can't even be covered up since its your brain sending the signal directly to your taste buds.
