Pugnacious.

It's not so much a word of the day thread as a whatever word the one in the nearby posts make you think of thread really. This is not a Bad Thing but it is a different thing.

Ooh! That's another word I'm very fond of (but never actually use). Some words just sound good and that is one of 'em.

As does pumpernickel. Tastes good too actually.

That would be my word of the day if I weren't observing the rules so perspicaciously - knuckle-dragger central down my way tonight.

Bit of a misnomer is that. Troglodytes simply live underground or in caves - they are not apemen. Troglodytes still exist in the modern world - it's cooler in hot climates.

I'm guessing the vent was one of those who became a star on the radio rather than the television. One of few careers where you don't even have to attempt to do your job and can still be paid. Nice use of the word verisimilitude though - another one that just sounds good.
