Brought this up on a search engine. Good read in your position and it's free.

...But if you want more in-depth/advanced tutorials on musical theory, just go to your local bookstore or music store and inquire about musical theory textbooks, let the sales rep know why you're looking for the text and they will definitely be able to point you to good titles.

cool man...thankls a lot...ill check that link out later when i have more time

dr seuss=i dotn really know too much about trance..def not enough to propperly critique your production here...then again i am quite the production amature/beginner that i can hardly propperly critique anything ...lol...

BUT...i do know i liked this track....that has to count for somethign to ya right?

congrats on getting the tune demo'd

Epic Concerto

My newest and the first single from my completely original album which is in the works now. I've produced a song prior to this recording which did not make it on soundclick...Why? Because there is only one hard copy of that song and I'm having trouble locating it(Lost all my works in progress when I upgraded.). = (

verry nice necro....

i also took your advice about getting some lit. about chords ,melodies,etc...verry helpfull so far...i should have a track ready for you to check out pretty soon...hopefully youll notice a difference

crinklecutz--what now----I really like the synth work on this . . . I think it progresses pretty well, but I do think that the breaks are a bit too stiff . . . they seem to sound and blend better the more the track progresses but for about the first minute they seem real stiff, almost too mechanical . . . maybe its just me and my indifference to quantizing my drums though . . . no other complaints at all, really like the progressions, would work great in a Freeland set.

dr. suess--intel----this starts out well . . . eq'd real nice, all the sounds are clear as hell . . . progresses well . . . i like the way it changes around two minutes . . . . lots of minor changes, I really like that . . . the way you come into the breakdown at four minutes is tops . . . OOOOHHHH, THAT VOCAL SAMPLE IS SICK! . . . the next few minutes progress real well, although I have to admit that I don't really listen to much music like this (although maybe I should start, this is tight) so I'm not used to all the little like 'mini breakdowns' that come in and out, but nice nonetheless, makes me wonder why I never got into this type of dance music.

Necro Trance--Epic Concerto----This starts off alright, but I'm much more of a stickler for real drum hits sampled from actual recordings, but that's just me, the arrangements are on point . . . machine drums just aint my thing is all . . . the break into the that synth at one thirty is pretty nice, I like that synth voice a lot . . . this is real bouncy, not what I expected, although I don't know what I did expect . . . . done well, although not dark enough for my tastes, but that's just preference, no problems at all with your skill, on a technical level this is totally on point. :)

headknocka, for some reason those links aren't playing on my computer right now, (well, dok's computer) . . . I couldn't get anything on the dubplates page to play, no matter whose track, so I'm a try and listen to these at home and see if its just his computer.

Negative - If You Go Away

I'll give this one an [Eight]. I really enjoy the plucked string melody, but it can still become repetetive. The beat is fresh, minimal(points for difficulty), and complimentary to the rest of the track. The bass hits give this song more power and I would try to bring that facet out. It's great, but for one problem...It needs something else, maybe a few things more. Vocals. Long piano melody. Samples. Etc.. Actually, I would love to remix this song and/or write some lyrics for it. Anticipate my PM.

heya,

are you on psy-forum? or isratrance?

cuz i'm SURE i've got your track already - 'omega02', but the track name comes up as 'ignition (dub mix)'

?

Unless one of my friend posted it there or someone is posing as me and posting my song....I have posted on sites like www.fortheravers.com and www.digitallyimported.com if you've gone to either of these sites you may of seen it on there....if you see it on any other sites let me know....I want to get to the bottom of this...

goobers--Ignition (Dub Mix)----I like how this starts out and goes from a little break into a four on the floor . . . those bongo-sounding drums are nice . . . the synth hit that comes in at like 1:20 is aight even if that kind of hit is pretty standard, fits . . . the hit that comes in at like 1:50 is better, IMO . . . I am having a bit of trouble getting past the fact that this is streaming so low quality . . . not saying the song is low quality, mind you, just that at so low a bitrate it is hard to really hear many frequencies clearly . . . can't hear any bass properly . . . the mids sound tinny and weak, the highs no power . . . again, I know this isn't how the song actually sounds, just the stream . . . it sounds though that you probably have all of your eq's and levels tweaked into the right places because I can hear all the voices properly, if not at the proper frequencies . . . :) . . . I really like the progression this track takes . . . again as I've stated in this thread before, trance isn't really my thing but I don't hate it by any means . . . I can groove to this track . . . technically, what I can gather from this mix it all sounds on point, but again, I'd wanna hear a better quality version before I could say for sure that all of your levels and eq's worked out properly. From how it sounds though it seems that you have done a really nice job on the technical side of the track. :)
