Principles not rules -- you only need a few principles that transcend every drug category
1. Keep my mouth shut and stick to my own business.
2. Do not use alone or with somebody you don't trust to look out for your well being if things go sideways.
3. Always properly research and know what you are ingesting and what to expect from it. Start small. Know the health risks, addiction potential, duration -- and be sure you have what you think you do!
4. Do not operate a motor vehicle while on drugs - keep no drugs or paraphernalia in the vehicle and if for some reason that is not possible have a plan.
5. Don't trust people. Especially people who have never seen the long arm of the law or have a rap sheet as long as said arm. People with too much to lose, parents, -- anyone that would be too desperate if jammed up.
6. Operate within the law. (Probably the most important one) Whatever drug you enjoy there is probably a legal variation that will not leave you exposed to the blackmarket. (Never trust the blackmarket). MJ legal in many states, got an opi problem sub is available, can't sleep you can prolly get to a Z-drug at least. That is before exploring the wide world of things that aren't illegal yet.
7. If you can't operate within the law --- Everthing is non verbal and especially never put anything incriminating on your damn text messenger! -- May sound difficult it is not. Affirmative or negative head-nod, a word doc you can type a line than delete -- hell an etch a sketch.
8. Never come from a point of desperation (and if you are don't let it be known).
9. Don't get addicted.
10. Don't get caught on or with that shit in your pocket; keep your whole stash in one bag; don't put it in your gun safe or baby's crib --- know your states sentencing guidelines. Ex. an "oz" of crack is 24.8 grams in my state not 28 as carrying over 25 g makes things a different ballgame. (That law may have changed I am like a decade behind / out of the game)
