Ghost of Mars, anyone?

If someone has seen this and can name a worse movie, please do so. I don't think it's possible.

Cube saying: "Are you thinking what I'm thinking? - Let's waste these mindless muthafuckas!!!"

That was cool. The rest was awful.

Starship Troopers

Saw it for one of my classes at school, and OMG... it was supposed to be viewed as a form of social critic but i just found it a lame, dumb arse movie reflecting the way things are and providing not much else. Although there were some vaguely funny moments i found that they were the only saving grace to stop you from walking out, shitty and thinking that you just wasted another hour and a half of your life.

another case of blashphemy! im not sure if you just watched the movie or listened to the audio commentary by verhoeven and writer ed neumeier. here is an excellent thread with some transcript of the commentary, might help you get something out of the movie next time round...

^^^ i agree, though i've yet to hear/read the commentary.

i think the film is *far* more intelligent than it is given credit for. it seems pretty obvious to me that verhoevan made the film and its acting purposefully cheesy in order to critique exactly the system and politics that they were representing.

of course, the film exists as a perfectly enjoyable b-grade sci-fi flick on one level, but i think it's a very deep social critique too.

Okay, i feel the need to explain, i get it... and i could see the points being made about capitalism and i *totally* agree with them. but for me i think i just get particularly pissed off with things that are good but not great. the film needed to be great and in my eyes it fell short, there was a certain something missing (most probably due to the b-grade hollywood production). That's the problem you just cant seem to make really great mainstream films... and i think that's a shame particularly with Starship Troopersbecause it does raise some extremely valid points about our society.

Actually that's why i specifically chose to mention this movie in the first place, and it's probably the reason for my slightly over exaggerated original response.[ :\ :) ] it's just me tho, i have more of a problem with things that are imo good but aren't done well enough then with things that are generally crap.

Waterworld - I bought this DVD by mistake thinking it was something else. After I realised my fatal mistake I turned it off and flung the dvd somewhere. Worst movie ever! BTW I have seen the whole movie, but that was a long time ago...

Goldmember The first 2 of the Austin Powers series were ok, this one I turned off in disgust 20 mins into the movie.

Jackass I can't believe I wasted time to watch this garbage. Actually a lot of the stunts shown just made me cringe.

Charlies Angels It doesn't even deserve a comment...

^Charlie's Angels...that exactly what I came here to post about! I just watched this awful POS movie last night and I want to shoot myself in the head for wasting an hour of my life. I'm not one to criticize movies, most of the time I can find something to take from it (even if it's just cool graphics or something)...but this movie get s -2 in my book. AWFUL!

Soul Plane - need I say more? BTW this movie has the worst attempt at showing a shroom trip that I've ever seen.

i've said it before and I'll say it again

armageddon.... *chokes on own revulsion*

i can understand people who dislike pretentious indie things, and i can see why you might not like clerks, but why wttd and the virgin suicides? i thought tvs was a really wonderful representation of suburban life growing up...not to mention rather beautiful and sad, too.

Bend It Like Beckham
Wtf? Are you crazy? This was an awesome flick. You must be one of those types that only likes mainstream Hollywood stuff.

Charlie's Angels 1 was okay I thought -- fairly entertaining. Charlie's Angels 2 (full throttle) totally sucked major ass though.

LORD OF THE RINGS and the harry potter movies were all worthless. I know pretty much every one thinks Lord is one of the best, but I think it was stupid. Very boring.

For real. I can't stand it either.

lol I am so easily entertained. Some of my fave movies are on here. I loved Armageddon. Cheesy yeah, but it kept me entertained.

Evil Alien Conquerors. Now that is a bad movie. I was looking for something for me and my son to watch one day and this was on. Holy crap is it bad. It is kinda like a car wreck, and you just can't take your eyes off. You find yourself amazed at it's attrociousness.
We love jackie chan in this family, always a good flick we can all enjoy, but some of his lately have been awful. The tuxedo, to be specific. Just terrible.
