The way I sound to myself when I laugh at something is usually my 1st alert. The sound I make when I laugh changes pretty hilariously over the course of an experience.

My friends notice it too. They'll say something funny, I'll laugh, it'll sound kinda goofy then they'll say shit like "You must be gettin there, eh?". Then I'm all like "yup"

lights are key, I always look out my front door down the hallways of my apartment building, if the lights in the hall are twisting/undulating then I know I'm tripping proper

On my first acid trip I took two sugar cubes and didn't feel anything for about an hour, then I looked at my hands. The lines were moving in all sorts of direction and pattern. Since then after I've ingested a psychedelic I always look at my hands to notice when the change occurs.

A lot of the time I notice because I start seeing visuals as soon as I take a hit of weed, which is a thing I like.

MDMA, I notice if my arms start feeling really light, or if someone scratches my head.

I'm usually watching for the walls crippling or breathing or I look to the ground if they are any patterns yet I start tripping soon then.

With salvia, at least other people have (been hit all at once).

Maybe I'm just taking the saying too literal, but with almost all drugs I feel a little something before it fully kicks in.

Salvia would be the only thing that comes to mind that just kncoks me off my feet with no warning. One second I'm hitting the bowl, the next second I think Im lying on the sill of the window I'm blowing smoke out of and wondering if my friend sees what I am doing (Wasn't actually doing that, still don't know why I thought that)

The first thing I notice after taking a dose of lsd is that everything around me starts to wiggle and stretch. I remember my "test" at Cedar Point (amusement park in northern OH) right before getting onto millennium force (a badass rollercoaster) was starring at a bed of rocks on the ground. they were going crazy. i was starting to peak. and i was in line for the front seat of that fucking awesome rollercoaster. me and a friend had eaten a geltab of acid on the bus for our high school physics class cedar point trip. millennium force was the first ride we rode.

i can't tell you quite how amazing that was but god damn i'll never forget it.
