Your Favourite Quotes and Sayings

Yes! Perfect!
Your location reminds me of 'The Final Frontier: The Space Between Our Ears" ;) In reference to that I like this one:

An all-encompassing epiphany of self-awareness explodes in the brain and exposes the nature of reality itself in a neurological clusterfuck of Eternal Humming Delight. -Idk

btw..This has happened to me...without drugs =D

Yeah me too. Its a beautiful blessing if we are talking about the same kind of epiphany...It feels like fullness and completion. But you know what? I don't think we can cling to that feeling. Gods blessings are different everytime always new and unique. I think perhaps there can be a danger of idolising a feeling. It does feel fanbloodytastic but worship the giver not the gift.

So those mountain top experiences really are so beautiful and enlightening but not the goal in my estimation. At best, the aim is to bring glory to Him and serve Him in the 'pots and pans of life'..in real time not just that spiritual bubble that sometimes elevates us.

I think it was Mother Theresa who said that but I can't find the quote online. You can glorify Him by washing a cup up perfectly as if you are serving God..it can be so liberating to just bring yourself into the present with a task. Kinda turn off the auto pilot and be fully conscious.

I've got loads of tasks I'd like to get in the present with today. Oh joy (lol)cleaning/decorating/paperwork. :D

I cannot conceive of a God who rewards and punishes his creatures, or has a will of the type of which we are conscious in ourselves. An individual who should survive his physical death is also beyond my comprehension, nor do I wish it otherwise; such notions are for the fears or absurd egoism of feeble souls.
ALBERT EINSTEIN

Although I tried to relate to God on my own terms, I see Him in most life quotes..I wonder why so many of us don´t believe in God?

Suffering is part of the human condition, and it comes to us all. The key is how we react to it, either turning away from God in anger and bitterness or growing closer to Him in trust and confidence.

BILLY GRAHAM

Religions are like pills, which must be swallowed whole without chewing. – Anonymous

Love does not make the world go ´round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile. Franklin Jones

Everyone has those rises and falls, yes.

I see what you're saying. I myself have a very wide view of what is called 'God'...

It does not need to be worshiped...as it IS existence. It just IS. In your terms...given by the God you have- 'I am THAT I am'.

My view is very long to explain...but nonetheless communicated in no uncertain terms to me many times in my life. I view that Awareness as just 'It'...It has laws-of physics...and all manner of things, as well as a means for us to give back with our own energy..b/c it's a part of us.

People just see and interpret this in different ways...That is where religion begins...and will seemingly never end. There does not need to be dogma attached to it. I respect your faith...It surely takes faith and hope to Live. ;)

If we do not discipline ourselves the world will do it for us. -William Feather

My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.~Einstein

“Yes, such has been my lot since childhood. Everyone read signs of non-existent evil traits in my features. But since they were expected to be there, they did make their appearance. Because I was reserved, they said I was sly, so I grew reticent. I was keenly aware of good and evil, but instead of being indulged I was insulted and so I became spiteful. I was sulky while other children were merry and talkative, but though I felt superior to them I was considered inferior. So I grew envious. I was ready to love the whole world, but no one understood me, and I learned to hate. My cheerless youth passed in conflict with myself and society, and fearing ridicule I buried my finest feelings deep in my heart, and there they died."

“It is sad to see a young man's fondest hopes and dreams shattered when the rose-colured veil is plucked away and he sees the actions and feelings of men for what they are. But he still has the hope of replacing his old illusions with others, just as fleeting, but also just as sweet.”

"What good are the passions? For sooner or later their sweet sickness ends when reason speaks up;
And life, if surveyed with cold-blooded regard, is stupid and empty — a joke."
