^ Always dug that one, as well! Really kind of parallels the "question everything" statement, IMHO. Question all that you hear until you have proved it's validity to meet your own definition of reason and transcendence.

I love this quote because it shifts my perspective on all of the painful experiences of my past. I realize that pain is a powerful spiritual teacher and has made me wake up and pay attention to my life. My pain has helped me to search for what I need in order to heal myself and to move on to better and brighter times.
