"Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd be sitting around in darkened rooms munching pills and listening to repetitive music." - CEO Nintendo 1986

Uhh rave?

"In order that the masses themselves may not guess what they are about we further distract them with amusements, games, pastimes, passions, people's palaces...Soon we shall begin through the press to propose competitions in art, in sport of all kinds: these interests will finally distract their minds from questions in which we should find ourselves compelled to oppose them. Growing more and more unaccustomed to reflect and form any opinions of their own, people will begin to talk in the same tone as we, because we alone shall be offering them new directions of thought...of course through such persons as will not be suspected of solidarity with us." -Illuminati, Protocol 13

not so much a 'quote'... but its chilling non the less...

and this...

"there is no 'meaning' of life...
life is to be experianced, to be felt, to explore.

we are not physical beings seeking spritual coherance, we are spiritual beings having a physical experiance,

we love, we hate, we lagh we cry, to feel is to live, we're born we die.
life 'is' to feel, without that we are no more than ticking clocks.

the true 'meaning' (well 'reason') of life is simply a life with a meaning...

and that meaning is for 'you' to decide,

and it is unique to evry person....

there is no 'meaning' outside of your own ideals and dreams....

so dream big dreams, listen to your heart and walk that long and scary path... aim for the stars, wherever those stars may reside, reach out to them with a strong mind and pure heart,

and in the end...

you will live this war into the answer..."

thats something i wrote, well proud of it :D spose in an ironic sense you could call it my meaning of life... haha, a quote i live by at the moment...

oh, and also,

"i love and i hate, you may ask why i do this, i dont know, but i feel it happen, and im turtured"... not sure who thats by either, but originaly its in latin.

"what you see is how you see it"

um...

"Knowing something true does not make it what we wish it to be. We see things not as they are but as we are. Though feelings be strange and minds' eyes look through veiled souls, in the end it is not our despair that we should fear but rather it is our tenacity. It sets aflame hope where hope should not lucidly linger, because sometimes pride can scar us more than hurt."

very true that one.

"Jealousy is simply and clearly the fear that you do not have value. Jealousy scans for evidence to prove the point - that others will be preferred and rewarded more than you. There is only one alternative - self-value. If you cannot love yourself, you will not believe that you are loved. You will always think it's a mistake or luck. Take your eyes off others and turn the scanner within. Find the seeds of your jealousy, clear the old voices and experiences. Put all the energy into building your personal and emotional security. Then you will be the one others envy, and you can remember the pain and reach out to them."

i like that one too, also this last one i think allot of people on here would apreciate....

""The things you want are always possible, it is just that the way to get them is not always apparant. The only real obstacle in your path to a fulfilling life is you, and that can be a considerable obstacle because you carry the baggage of insecurities and past experience".

yea, thats enugh from me me thinks;)

"Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death." -- Anais Nin

"There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness." -- Carl Jung

"Reality is a question of perspective; the further you get from the past, the more concrete and plausible it seems -- but as you approach the present, it inevitably seems incredible." -- Salman Rushdie

Your mind can never change
Unless you ask it to
Lovingly re-arrange
The thoughts that make you blue
The things that bring you down
Only do harm to you
And so make your choice joy
The joy belongs to you

"I have not ceased being fearful, but I have ceased to let fear control me. I have accepted fear as part of life specifically fear of change and fear of the unknown; and I have gone ahead despite the pounding in the heart that says, turn back, turn back, you'll die if you venture too far. "

-Erica Jong
