Yes, Dr. Goodhead, yum. Die Another Day got my vote purely because it's about dayum time Madonna threw her 2 cents into Bond and the gadgets were super cool.

As far as the Bonds(Actors)go, Sean Connery was bred to be Bond and so was Pierce Brosnan, but Pierce's day and age is having to compete with other action films, so the Bond movies are losing their magic in that respect(Bond is no longer cool as simply a spy). To say Dalton or Moore were better than Connery is utter blasphemy. Connery owned.

Don't hate on Roger Moore...he was excellent in For Your Eyes Only, my personal favorite Bond film, though the other suggestions are perfectly suitable...except maybe A View to Kill, generally considered the worst Bond film along with the Dalton films.

1. Live and Let Die-Jane Seymour at her best, great theme song, and the "7Up Uncola" villain henchman dude. I love the funeral parade scene and the scene where Bond stacks the tarot deck with "The Lovers" cards.

2. Man with the Golden Gun-how can you argue with Herve Villechaize as the henchman? Or bringing back the redneck sheriff from L&LD as comic relief? Great scenery in the South Pacific and the scene where they roll out the flying AMC car is just classic camp...wonder how much AMC paid them to put that lemon in the movie.

3. Goldfinger-Pussy Galore says it all...best Bond girl name of all time imo. Odd Job and his hat were great too. Not a bad theme song either.

4. Dr. No-makes my list if for nothing more than the Ursula Andress forced "decontamination" shower scene...heap mighty sexy.

Roger Moore is my favorite Bond, with Connery second. The Dalton Bond flicks are virtually unwatchable imo, and I haven't really developed a strong liking for Brosnan either, although admittedly he's definitely an improvement over Dalton.

Personal Favorite Theme Songs:
1. Live and Let Die-you know it's good when it's covered, by G & R no less, and even the remake is good.
2. Nobody Does It Better-(The Spy Who Loved Me)-I remember this song so well cuz it was popular about the time that Walter Payton was tearing up the NFL, and they made a highlight video of his runs with it as the soundtrack....awesome.
3. Goldfinger
4. Die Another Day
5. A View to a Kill
6. The World is Not Enough
7. For Your Eyes Only-makes the list for camp value.

Personal Favorite Campy Stuff:
1. The way Roger Moore derisively says Goodnight's name in Man with the Golden Gun.
2. The way Connery says Moneypenny's name.
3. Herve Villechaize, the Uncola dude and Jaws as the henchmen.
4. The redneck sheriff and the AMC cars in Man with the Golden Gun.
5. Lynn Holly Johnson as the airhead in For Your Eyes Only...her acting is so bad it's laughable.
6. Wayne Newton as the televangelist in Licence to Kill.
7. The Bond girl names...Pussy Galore, Holly Goodhead, Honey Ryder, Mary Goodnight, Kissy Suzuki, etc.

Cool thread. Goldfinger. First to go so over the top . . . and did it so well for its time.

sweet, amor and I voted thunderball.

And I'll take dalton over moore's syrupy bond any day of the week. The worst bond films have been the recent ones, with the shining exception of goldeneye.

I've never liked ANY of them. They're just all so damn boring. I don't think I've ever watched any of them from beginning to end without turning the channel.

Goldeneye and most of the new ones at pretty good for 00' action flicks...

I absolutly hated most of what I saw of the old movies, SPIKE had a marathon earlier this year and I could just not bring myself to sit down and watch a whole one.

I enjoyed the older ones as a kid but have only snippets of memory of them. I'm a goldeneye fan. Robbie Coltrane and Alan Cumming are both excellent in it. Nice cameo of mini driver too.
and the n64 game was fuckin incredible fun.
