A View To A Kill

because: Duran Duran's Music, and Christopher Walken as the psycho-villan

;)

I've never really gotten into the older ones... I think goldeneye was the first bond movie I saw and it was pretty kick-ass. Plus you had the video game, which was also kick-ass. The other pierce-movies have sucked... were the old ones better?

yes, well, mixed bag. Frankly, I think moore was a god-awful bond. Anybody is better than he is, so for me personally, that makes alot of the "older ones" much worse.

The new ones are pretty fucking horrible though.

Agreed. But I've never considered Connery to be a good actor either.

But I liked the script to the Spy who loved me and that russian chick was damn fine. =D

Two words. Timothy Dalton. =D

goldeneye for me. that said, it's been *ages* since i've seen any of the older ones, so they're all kinda blending together in my mind. some of the connery ones were quite brilliant, iirc, though.

Ugh. New Bond? They're elaborate commercials for expensive toys. Die Another Day had a HORRIBLE script. Bond has become an action hero, not a spy. Diving away from explosions and the like. Him and the Gov. of CA should get togther and do something involving laser guns and clones and terrorists. Or whatever.

#1: Goldfinger
#2: Dr.No
#3: You Only Live Twice

And NOTHING with Roger Moore.

And I think the Timothy Dalton movies were better than the Brosnan movies. I just thought they were truer to the Bond theme.

Timothy Dalton = worst Bond ever

I don't know why ppl don't like Roger Moore, to me he was Born for this role, I never liked most other Bond actors.

4. Octopussy. Despite some seriously stupid parts, eg. the acrobats taking over the palace at the end.

The almost all of the non Ian Fleming Bond movies that were released were utter shite.

1. View to a Kill
Panned by the critics...but like someone said, how can you go wrong with Christopher Walken and Duran Duran (not to mention Grace Jones)?

2. Man with the Golden Gun
Christopher Lee and the return of Sheriff JW Pepper!

3. From Russia with Love
Classic Bond. Set the tone for the rest of the franchise.

Pierce Brosnan is not a bad Bond, he just hasn't been in any good Bond movies. The attempts to play up M and Jinx with silly subplots is extremely distracting and not very true to the orginal idea of the books and earlier movies. Goldeneye was decent, but there has been some awful stuff since. A proper Casino Royale treatment would be great...even if that means Tarantino directs.
