28th Jan. Hopefully i can change the flight dates if i need to and looking at this fucking knee and having worked in an orthopedic ward for years i cant see me flying anywhere for at least two months probably more. I am really pissed off. Luckily i have good drugs to distract me. One bonus is i may be able to attend a friends wedding now. I am going to gobble a bunch of oxy and go to bed i think.

Oxy is keeping me up but smashing me to bits. 45mg of instant release oxy on top of the 20mg morphine injections but tney were hours ago. I much prefer oxy to morphine. No histamine reaction and i find it much more euphoric. Finding it hard to type. Pretty fucking smashed. No alcohol or benzos tonight but might have a line of coke to see what that combo is like. Never done that before. Last post tonight. Too fucking hard to type on my phone. Vision is blurry

Where do I need to smash my leg? Sounds like a good combo and I don't use them as much as I should in the winter anyhoo.

Sorry to hear about the knee consumer. Did you get quoted a probable recovery timeframe or is the 2 months just guesswork at this stage.

Sue the council for their shoddy pavement, neck some free oxy, and wait for the money to roll in.

Educated guesswork. Best possible outcome is a slight tear to the meniscus which heals itself. That would be 4 - 6 weeks. If it needs surgery then it will take.a couple of months to get it done then 6 -8 weeks recovery time. By the level of pain, the amount of swelling and the fact i cant weight bear on it everything points to nasty tear of the meniscus. Its a fairly common injury at my age. I have nursed literally hundreds of people in the ortho ward with the same injury. Still in the scheme of things its not serious. Far worse things happen to people. Itsjust shit timing.

Sitting at home in an oxy haze with my balloon knee. Oxy is making me really nauseous for some reason. Tried having a few tokes on a joint but all that did was make me further off my tits. Luckily like all good nurses i have a collection of pharmaceutical wonders for every occasion. In this case Ondansetron which is the best anti nausea medication there is. I only have 4 left so rang the old ward and a friend is dropping me off a strip after work. Sorted. It will be weird if i have to have an operation on my knee thats the ward i will be sent to. At least i will get looked after. I know all the doctors, nurses and the pain team. Hopefully its not required but i have a strong feeling thats going to be the end result. I might finish that joint. It was very tasty and as i rarely smoke these days its gotten me really high. Got to love high quality outdoor sativa. Uplifting pot.
