I got into a london office job penniless, sleeping on a floor after leaving barcelona penniless, but a nice tan shade after meeting the MD in a pub with my good friend, his OM.

Educated guesswork. Best possible outcome is a slight tear to the meniscus which heals itself. That would be 4 - 6 weeks. If it needs surgery then it will take.a couple of months to get it done then 6 -8 weeks recovery time. By the level of pain, the amount of swelling and the fact i cant weight bear on it everything points to nasty tear of the meniscus. Its a fairly common injury at my age. I have nursed literally hundreds of people in the ortho ward with the same injury. Still in the scheme of things its not serious. Far worse things happen to people. Itsjust shit timing.

I see your fissures and raise you a perianal abcess the size of a tennis ball that was septic and so painful that three shots of morphine iv and a shot of pethadine IM barely touched the pain and i was in an operating theatre within 20 minutes of presenting to ED. Guess it's all down to associations - our mushie season is autumn, so summer tripping was a rarity unless we had acid, which always seemed to be more prevalent in summer for us. I also much prefer tripping at night, whatever the season - preferably under a full moon with a clear sky except for those little wispy clouds that seemingly fly past the moon at an impossible speed, with the stars all dancing in unison and the trees morphing into fractal faces.
