Just found an old tooter ..... \o/

Been paid for the first time since fucking last June! Only 8 days pay technically, but also on a much higher salary than I've had before. :D

Going on a spending spree. I need a new double bass pedal for my drums as I managed to break my current one. Definitely need a new jacket. There will obviously be a naughtyweb order, gonna get some caramello hash, ketamine and 2c-b. Finally, I guess I can finally pay my friend that £15 I owed him on a bet we made in November that up till now I've managed to weasel out of. Oh, and my debts with paypal. :p

Literally never happened to me, I wish past OM had been more careless with this kind of thing so that present OM could reap the benefits.

The last time I found an old tooter was early 00's, when my friend came to help me clear my house of all drugs when I gave up (for a few years anyway)....we lifted the bed together & there it was, on top of a bit of foil with an about-to-frazz microscopic beetle on it. She grabbed it, crumpled it up & took it away along with various forgotten 'emergency' benzo stashes we found all over the house.....oh sorry, not the reminiscence thread....me right now....watching 'Swarms' with my home boy, fish slapping people & injuring them...who knew...the walking bee man, WOW!

Having money is a Good Feeling ..... Try to hold on to it as long as you can. The feeling at least, if not the money. One day, you will have to find a way to spread out the payments on a new cooker, a new telly and a new gas boiler, and it'll only be having to travel back and forth on 400-mile round trips that keeps your mind off it. [/voice of experience]

Remember also that you will have started your new job on an emergency tax code, and so will end up paying more income tax than you owe initially. You will have to claim the overpayment back from them. (Depending how much work you did between April and your starting date, this could be a lot; if you walked more or less out of one job and into another, probably only a few pounds.) Speak to the person who hands out your wage slips. Even if they are just the person who hands out the wage slips, they can introduce you to the person in charge of payroll. And anyway, it is always useful to cultivate alliances with the likes of humble clerks and janitors -- people say things in front of them, IYKWIM. (And it should go without saying, but always be nice to I.T. staff.)
[Finding forgotten drugs] [l]iterally never happened to me, I wish past OM had been more careless with this kind of thing so that present OM could reap the benefits.
Not all Senior Moments are so positive. There was that time I spent ages trying to open the combination lock on the server room door ..... With my bank card PIN .....

Yep, my mum pointed out the tax thing earlier - I hadn't considered it at all, but I have been out of work for a good 6 pushing 7 months so I should definitely have a pretty solid bit of tax to claim back.

I work as a member of the 6 person team that does all the I.T. maintenance in the office, so yeah I do try to be nice to them. :D

I once found well my ex wife found a lb of weed i had stashed in a cupboard and forgotten about. We were moving at the time and clearing the cupboards out. It was at least a year old but still nice and fresh having been kept in two glass jars. It came in very handy at the time. How do you forget about a lb lol? Its not as hard as you think ;)

I found £200 stashed in a trouser pocket in my wardrobe when I was several months pregnant, very straight, very sober, that I'd obviously stashed pre-pregnancy & completely forgotten about. Now? Supervising loading a Pez machine and getting fatter (coz food not baby)

I had a mate that had five e's he put in a shirt pocket and forgot about. He flew in and out of Indonesia three times always with that shirt before he found them one night out at the pub. Fucking lucky. Thats at least 4 years in prison in Indo unless you have 10k $USD on you to "pay an on the spot fine" lol

I once found a carrier bag full of weed I thought I'd lost months previously immediately after an unsuccessful police raid looking for summat else entirely. Wasn't even in an especially obscure place. Very hit and miss are sniffer dogs. Think it was that same raid where they ripped out the bathroom flooring cos the dog gave the nod to. I'd never even considered putting anything there due to it being very firmly nailed down. Fickle creature is a sniffer dog. Much like their handlers.

Oooooh, a six-person I.T. team! So have you had your ..... your ..... um ..... Initiation, yet? We want the gory details =D

Note that you absolutely will be expected to pull off a counter-prank against your comrades-at-arms in retaliation. This proves that (1) you are not a pushover, (2) you have a sense of humour, (3) you can pull off a prank and (4) Audacity is not just sound editing software.

And as mentioned before, especially in a company that is big enough to need six people to do the I.T., friends at the bottom are always worth having.

It isn't a big company really, we are technically the customer support team but as pretty much everyone in the team is also really techy they've adopted those jobs too.

Haha suddenly I feel a massive amount of pressure to live up to your pranking expectations.

Have you ever been to Indonesia Consumer?

Just booked a flight to Jakarta, gonna live with a friend there for a couple of months, then spend some time in Cambodia and Vietnam.

I'm reckoning a couple of months there will be a good way to get rid of this coke habit that's been creeping in over the past few months... and my mate assures me even an ugly toerag like myself can get his end away on a regular basis there =D

I once had a driving lesson go really well (as in, no blood ..... you have to understand, my nearest testing centre has actually closed down, since I sighed and accepted the inescapable truth that I am one destined to be driven) one time. When I got home, I discovered that I had had an ounce of hash in my pocket the whole time .....

Yes but twenty years ago to a very isolated place called Grajagan one of the worlds greatest surf breaks. That was a crazy place. You stayed in tree houses because you were basically staying in the jungle in the middle of nowhere. There were tiger prints in the sand in the morning a couple of times thus the tree houses. It would be a totally different place now. I spent basic zero time in Bali but even if i did it would have changed completely.

I do know there is a lot of cocaine in Indonesia. The Brazilian surfers primarily smuggle it then sell the kilos to the Indonesian distribution networks. Not sure about Vietnam but Cambodia is awash with all types of drugs so you could easily pick up a far worse habit like meth i'n that place. Just food for thought.

Want to give up coke. Come to Australia where its $300 a gram and shit and if you want pure its over $500. That should sort out your habit lol.

Lot of coke coming in here now. Usually it's overweight Brazilian women who get done, while their expat western African boyfriend remain free.

At lease 30 people. A year die because tuk tuk drivers sell China white as cocaine, and many tourists are too inexperienced to tell the difference.

So, if you want to take coke here, I reccomend not to rush and take your time, talk to people first.

Yeah Bali doesn't really appeal to me. No offence but too many Aussie brahhh types I imagine. Still more fun that boring old England I suspect. Lol, I've already spent 2 years in Aus, and your right, barely touched the stuff. Instead just ended up buying $30 pills all the time haha. Saw you mention the bananas on a previous post... literally spent every weekend of last (Aussie) summer on them. Great fun

Where are you Jackal?

Haha noted. I've got a lot of aussie mates, but there are so many bogan types over there who are just unbearable. Same can be said for England mind

I avoid tourist areas Australians congregate like the plague. Plenty of great aussies but the places the football teams etc just go to get on the piss i couldn't imagine going.
Even in Thailand i pick non touristy spots to stay. I prefer off the beaten track holidays.
