WOW, Ritalin is "kinda" like coke...

Will an MAOI jive with the following?
Wellbutrin
Lexapro
Remeron
Xanax
Ritilin
Abilify
Shock treatments once a month.

the comedown is to zombifing and long. I cant stand methyphenidate anymore at all. last time I did it, i was up all night snorting the 20mgs pill. I got through 10 and ran out. 200mgs of methyphenidate gave such a bad comedown that I made up my mind that Ill never do it again. ever.

but yeah everyone here calls it kiddy coke.
 
last time i did it it gave me a comedown that was a nightmare, comparable exactly to a bad acid trip (did 150+ mg's). crack or E crash never came close to this hellish comedown. i went to search the abandoned buildings around the town where i threw away ativan pills months ago at the middle of the night... fuckin nasty shit! & on that amount i've been 'up' for maybe a hour before it turning to a nasty shitty feeling...

Sorry for bringing back this old thread, but I was pondering the idea of possibly IV Ritalin. I just want to know what the rush, if any is comparable too. Does
it make your head ring at all? Or what is good about it? I've always wanted to try and boot like 30mg but if all I see is people saying it's a waste, I may just plug em. But if someone could answer my questions, I'd appreciate it.

mobius dick , a poster on here, uses methylphenidate and selegiline together regularly (search for it if you want, it's in a thread somewhere).

selegiline prevents dopamine from breaking down.
ritalin prevents dopamine from being taken back in. so basically you're doubling and exponentiating your effect (only the euphoric part of it though, and not the adrenaline-like part). search selegiline and methylphenidate.>>

I could be a bit cautious, but I would say that the dose-response curve is too sharp to do this combo safely. Mobius Dick was exhibiting mania, possibly crossing over into delusions at that point. Also, under NO circumstances should the selegeline be dosed high enough to cross over into MAO inhibition.

that made me laugh like a mufucka..I dont remember this part of ritilan, could be because I have a big dank or I have chosen to forget about that part LOL

I love ritilan I wanted to be prescribed to it when I was a kid because a couple of my freinds were. we did the pills and got a totaly 'tech' feeling, I felt like everything I did was done perfectly etc etc was very on point....I ended up taking a few of my freinds pills and they found out, yeah big break up, me stupid... havnt done it since.. its a nice little high though... not like coke....
 
Both Ritalin and coke are dopamine reuptake inhibitors that also trigger the release of dopamine. They are more or less the same drug, just with different time frames.
 
I don't know if it feels like coke (I have never misused Ritalin) but it sure does help me cope with studying and getting onto the same level of the other classmates with out doing unfair things like getting more time to take the test and stuff, which in my opinion is unfair add or not...

But yeah, I thought Ritalin was going to suck but when I tried it, it was a miracle drug for me, not only for my ADD but for my Anxiety and Panic Disorders...

But it just would stop working for me so I switched to Adderall XR and this is not 1/100th as good as the Ritalin, I mean I heard it was supposed to be, but it just makes me anxious and on edge all day, which is not a fun attribute to have when your trying to make new friends.....

Ritalin has been a big part of my Drug Recovery over the past 9 months, it helps keep me sane without having to use other drugs to overcome fears and anxieties...

Just my opinion though, I am pretty sure the reason why it does not feel like coke for me is because I actually have ADHD, it feels alot more like a stimulating form of benzodiazepines, pretty odd but it does... for me atleast..

PERCOCET AND OXYCONTIN ARE TWO DIFFERENT CHEMICALS. and I am refeering to "OCFORME" not you rangrz, so don't get the wrong idea, heheh thought I would clear that up..

But yah, I am pretty sure the feeling you get from them will vary from person to person, such as I do not notice the resemblence to coke at all, adderall just feels like dextroamphetamine, and ritalin feels like methylphenidate to me... LOL

i don't care what erowid lists. to me, speed is crank/ice/meth. coke is coke.
amphetamine has a high variability rate in patient studies, so don't group it as "closer to"... perhaps chemically, but not in terms of the experience.
 
I find amphetamine to be not a whole like like cocaine at all. I find it much more like meth.

and maybe your idea of street names are off, since its rpetty common to call amphetamine/dexamphetamine "speed"

in my subjective exierence: cocaine is really itsown drug, with nothing like it. Amphetamines are amphetamines, methylphenidate is its own thing too, dito piperazines.

In chemistry, compounds with similar structures are logical named similarly. E.g methane,ethane,octane all have Carbon-Carbon single bonds. similarly, compounds with a NH2 binded to a carbon are called amines. Amphetamine, is a type of amine, and methamphetamine is an amphetamine with a methyl (CH3) group binded to it. Because their structure is so similar, they have similar effects on the CNS (the extra methyl group makes it ~30% stronger). There isn't really a way to tell whether the little bag of white powder you bought on the street which people call speed contains amphetamine, or its methyl brother, or even crushed up white chalk. Ahhh isn't the black market wonderful...


Cocaine on the other hand, is a tropane alkaloid which has a very different structure to amines (nitrogen binded to 2 aliphatic rings). Therefore, it has very different effects on the CNS compared to amphetamines. Compare sugar to aspartame (an artificial sweetener), they both taste sweet, but sweet in a uniquely different way.

Now, again thanks to the effects of prohibition, "street" interpretations of illicit drugs differ wildly between locations. For example, here in New Zealand crystallised methamphetamine is called crack. Most of the users on this site know of crack as freebase cocaine. No one is wrong, and no one is right. just different way of interpreting things. To english speakers we know the colour red is called red, but a french speaker would say that's nonsense, it is rouge! Now who is right? ;)

Ritalin reminds me of painkillers in a way but even better.
I understand Adderall has a pretty euphoric head high the first couple of times. I know to well in fact considering I'm addicted to the shit. But Ritalin had such a nice body high along with a decent head buzz.

However, I have never used Ritalin for an extended period of time like I have with Adderall. Therefore, I wonder if that body high diminishes over a prolonged period of continuous use.
