WOW, Ritalin is "kinda" like coke...

^Yes I really don't know why so many people diss IV methylphenidate, I think it's mainly because there aren't any injectable solutions thus we have to extract them from the pills and since shooting pills is against harm reduction I think not many people really do it.
 
I get Slow-Release Ritalins, and they are basically (as my Dr. explained it) coated in a waxy-substance that makes it break down over a longer period of time. When I've tried the Alcohol Extraction, I get some shit that clogs up my needles. I don't use micron filters, but I do use cotton.

Any tips on how to "refine" this finished product?

I'm not familiar with the product but you have but you could try crushing the pills as fine powder as you can and use a large amount of IPA (let's say 100-150ml) for 10 pills.

throw the ground pills in a drinking glass and pour IPA on the powder. Stir well and be patient enough to take some time.

There will be a lot of insolubles (which is a good thing) but the mehylphenidate Hcl has dissolved.

wet a coffee filter paper with IPA (if it's dry it will absorb the solution containing your product) and then use it to filter the ground pill solids away from IPA containing your methylphenidate (pour the containings of a drinking glass in the coffee filter). Let the IPA drip through the filter like you would do with coffee. When it's flown through the filter wash the solids in the filter with some more IPA to make sure you get all MPH. Collect the methylphenidate Hcl dissolved in IPA in a wide enough container so it'll evaporate faster. Using a steam bath will speed this up nicely.

After all the liquid has evaporated you got some crude methylphenidate crystals.

I usually dissolve these in water and filter through cotton. Then i do another filtration with a micron filter and bang it.

The key is to use enough IPA, it's cheap.
 
Hmm... I never tried it but someone on BL claimed you cansmoke crushed ritalin pills if you can stand the taste. The guy said it works.

Anyhow i have no idea would the crystals sublime like meth or just get charred like amphetamine sulphate...

When i get my next batch of rits i will try.

Quoted for trutgh. Ritalin may make a reasonable substitute at the time, but the way you feel later that night and for the next 2 days made me throw all mine in the bin, and i havwe NEVER binned drugs before. It was THAT bad. Filthy fucking shit!
 
i agree with those who said methylphenidate is better than amps...

if you like ritalin, try focalin its the dex-only version (dexmethylphenidate) and is MUCH better than ritalin, less side effects and much cleaner feeling, obviously no where as good as even below average coke but its good for mental stimulation, energy, focus, etc. helps my SAD moreso than any benzo.
 
Um yeah, ritalin is a powerful stimulant. And yeah, definitely stick to snorting it. Shooting pills is a whole different ball game.

I once read a study where the researchers found that children who are prescribed ritalin are at a much greater risk of cocaine addiction later in life. Not surprising considering that the same group of kids I rode the bus with in middle school who'd bring their ritalin and sell it or snort it in the back are the same kids who eventually ended up becoming cokeheads in high school.

I don't think it acted like a catalyst.

What percent of kids grow up to have turrets syndrome?
Not a huge percent.. But a percent none the less.

Now what percent of kids take ADHD Meds?
Well.. I don't know for sure.. But it's atleast 5%+ of the whole population.

Now that's a lot of kids taking ADHD meds.

So theres bound to be a kid from the turrets syndrome percentile to be taking ADHD meds.

Thus I beleive it is purely coincidence. And coincidences such as these are often blindly taken on as a cause and effect by hate mongers. lol.

I always thought that the kids snorting ritalin in high school were chasing a placebo high.... but I have been reading alot of posts claiming that it has some recreational potential. How long do the effects last? (on average?)
 
focalin is good shit.

i started w/ ritalin and quickly switched to focalin-- i never tried any MoA except for sniffing it, but i didnt have to. i actually prefer it to coke also.

its so much more consistant, it tastes good, it lasts a long time (i dont remember how long, but significantly longer than coke), and its CHEAP. id get a ton of it for ~10 dollars thanks to insurance, that alone made it more useful than cocaine. 120 focalins would last days and days.

if youve got benzos, coming down isnt a big concern. if you dont... well, shit! sucks for you.
