Gee, I'm so glad that the only big party I've been to this year was the shittest one of the year!!

I agree tho, it really didn't live up to expectations and didn't deliver what the flyer said it would, but I was REALLY off my 'nana, so I seemed to enjoy myself nontheless!
I learnt a lesson tho - u don't necessarily have to spend $50 plus on entry to a party for it to be a good nite - I mean look at all the Liberator gigs - I paid $15 at the cage, and it was probably the best night I've had this year next to Christian Smith & DJ Miss Flame when they played at Teriyaki!

What the fuck were you expecting from Hardware 17? I'm just wondering what people are comparing HW17 to when they are passing judgement. The last four shed parties have gone Trade --> Gatecrasher --> Perfecto --> Hardware 17. IMHO future has fucked up the sheds, and you'll never get a good crowd there again, so don't expect one. And can you honestly say that HW17 was worse than all these other parties? At least a hardware party brings it back slightly to what it should be. And the EPA fucked them in the arse - goddamn whinging public

. Earthcore has the distinct advantages of being a) fucking miles from anywhere (good sound) and b) far enough away to get a controlled, dedicated crowd. A shed in the city that the government wants to tear down has to watch what they do.
My point is that you are completly entitled to your opinion, and sure, lots of people didn't like hardware. But remember that it was never going to be like earthcore. Thats comparing apples and oranges. I know my opinion of this might be biased (anyone read my other post

), but I'm interested to hear what people thought WHO WERE FIRST OF ALL ACTUALLY THERE, and secondly STAYED TO THE END. I think Decimal Dan is the only one to actually give reasons for not liking it besides the crowd and sound thing (which you all should have been expecting).
And these are just my observations, not a collective flame. I'm putting this post up in the hope that people give some real thought to what they vote for, because this is a very interesting thread. (And yes Psyentist, I saw the wink in your post - no harm intended dude

I think HW17 got so many bad votes for two reasons. One is because it wasn't for everyone, and there is no denying that there were bad elements to the night. The other reason though is that it happened recently, and people still want to talk about it. One person can bag it, and everyone else replies with "Yes, I agree", because they havn't voiced their opinion anywhere yet. I don't want to think for anyone else, but I feel that given time, HW17 will compare much more favourably with the benifit of heinsight.
Please don't get angry, I know everyone is entitled to their opinion...
