8 hours later I am back from work.
Just finished a nice 1g joint on balcony watching the lightning and thunder and rain.

Love this strain to bits.
 
Ayyyyyeeeee, my favorite ny medical operator (vireo) just dropped ACTUAL syringes of RSO. Had to get an indica and a sativa. Fucking finally
 
Here's some Pablo's Revenge and Purple Haze I picked up yesterday, sunlight shots. Haven't tried the Pablo's yet but the PH is good. Esthetically, pretty buds, nice and trich coated, but the most unpurple Purple Haze I've seen lol. Nearly pure sativa, one of those cerebral buzzes where the impact is almost blunted by how clearheaded it is. Definite daytime smoke. Nice and smooth, spicy. 7/10. 👍





Off to sample the Pablo's Revenge now, first smoke of the day. 🔥 Will report back. 😉

@shreddedlettuce Based on the frequency and variety and quality within our respective posts, I've come to the conclusion that you and I smoke a fuckload of pot, but with discerning tastes. Hail, stoner, well met. 😎

I'm vaping some Indica dabs that seem very good.

I'm sure it has a name but are indica hits. ( doses ) lool

  2. Purple Haze, almost gone sadly :'( (Thai x Haze?) 27% THC
  3. Hawaiian Dream (50-year-old Maui inbred clone x Blue Dream) 22% THC -- in other words, some of the only Maui bud around afaik
  4. Mimosa (Purple Punch x Clementine) 30% THC-- picked it up off a friend. It's from Cali and is insane, but up here in MA we've caught up. I've smoked my share of Cali
  5. NYC Sour Diesel 32% THC (Mexican x Afghan?)
  6. Random preground mix of weed I never finished lol (Sour D, Lemon Meringue, Lemon Zephyr, Purple Haze, Killer Beez, Hawaiian, will be NYC)

Just picked up the NYC Sour today. I cannot wait to try it


Then we got live rosin carts

  1. Chocolate Chem (Chocolate Thai x Chemdog?) 77% THC
  2. Peach Crescendo (I-95 x Mandarin Cookies x Sour D x Peach Ringz) 81% THC
  3. Sour Amnesia (Afghan Hawaiian x Laos x Jamaican) 78% THC -- Why they still called this Sour Amnesia, I have no idea

All Sativa though :) the NYC Sour D I'm sure won't be as racy as regular, tweaker sour D, but that's fine with me. Can't believe I was bored enough to give detail lol.

Got a great deal today. :p

Smaller buds, but same quality both indoor and both been sampled and have passed the test.

Basically half price so I got 2 for 1 deal which couldn't have come at a better time of the month.

Sour is 100% not Mexican x afghani. Depending on who you ask, it's genetics change, but the guy that gave me his cut of sour, AJ (aka asshole joe), said it's most likely a specific pheno of dogbud x super skunk, but everyone has a different story.

Most likely, REAL sour is a specific pheno of dogbud (the original bag seed that became the weasels sour) that was bred with a Massachusetts super skunk to produce seed. But then again, depending on if your talking aj's sour, wing wang's sour (black rabbit farms), weasels sour, rezdog's sour, chaco's sour, jp's sour, hell, even the hunter mountain cut, you'll get a different story

Yeah, I know, but NYC Sour is Mexican x Afghani, or it's supposed to be if it's the original NYC Sour. The brand I got specified these as the genetics. Regular Sour Deisel you're right, there's so many varieties.

Chemdawg pheno has even been mentioned in there, then the mass super skunk and a 1991 cut of Chemdawg or something, but those are too indica leaning I feel like because the old school Sour would really get my heart pounding and my body wanting to get up and do shit. It's crazy there are that many varieties. I love learning about cannabis history so this is good to know.

And nowadays you got Sour Diesel BXs. I've had Sour BX4 and it felt the closest to the original Sour I've had since like 2009. But I don't get it, because of the genetics reported at a specific dispensary, it's Sour Diesel crossed with... Sour Diesel, and Sour Diesel, an Sour Diesel, and more Sour Diesel. What is the goal of this?

I think Mexican Sativa x Chemdawg pheno is probably a likely version of Sour D. It's just some of the other crosses you mentioned like mass skunk and 'Chem are indica dominant, and I, not being an experienced grower would assume breeding 2 indica plants will always yield in an indica dominant bud. Yet, there are strains that supposedly are multiple indicas that become sativa somehow. I really don't know how you could grow a sativa leaning plant.

And yeah, I get NYC Diesel genetics may not be that, but that's 100% what it feels like. I can just tell; it's almost perfectly 50/50. Sativa leaning with a rushing head high and euphoria with a beautiful body high. And though it's true the label could've just said whatever genetics they wanted, but this is a very reputable dispensary. All I know is that this is the best shit I've ever smoked in my life.

It's definitely that dark. Those shots were in sunlight btw, just indirect. Several strains share the same hue though - Critical Kush, Halle Berry, Gorilla Skunk, just a few I've had I can remember off the top.
 
If that's dispensary weed, I've never seen genuinely purple dispensary weed. If it's like Purple Haze, you might see some purple or reddish spots in the nugs, but it's quite rare for any strain to grow naturally purple; a lot of "purple" strains will grow to be light green, but some do. I had this Cherry Pie once and it was just gorgeous. Such a mixture of purple, green, orange. I'd break open a nug and see this dark red color.

I feel like purple strains are only really that purple normally before harvest, but there's always exceptions. A friend of mine grew some "Mother's Milk" last summer and it just was naturally purple. Not exactly like the Cherry Pie or this, but most of the bud was purple. Not all plants of that will come out like that though.
