Have any woman here ever tried poppers? "rush" ect. Did it make you feel horny?

id like to add something to OP, please describe for me your first time receiving anal sex whilst high on poppers, in as much detail as possible ;)

how is this helpful to the thread?

a) poppers are useful for women with sex because supposedly it numbs your anus so its much more pleasurable to receive anal whilst high on poppers

b) it was sarcasm based on all the threads on SLR that go "describe your first BDSM experience" etc

ive only tried 'jungle juice' which i cant be sure was amyl nitrate, and it felt kind of like huffing glue or butane with the world becoming strange and my heart pounding for 15 seconds, i wouldnt describe the experience as horny or pleasurable

Ya I know it loosens up the anus and can make anal sex better but what are the effects on the vagina?

Poppers are alkyl nitrites. Commercially available poppers these days are usually iso-propyl nitrite.
Iso-butyl nitrite has been linked to cancer in rats, and amyl nitrite is prescription only.

The effects of poppers last about 2 minutes.
One of the main effects is that they relax smooth muscle in the body. Smooth muscle includes lots of muscle which is not under voluntary control.
All this muscle goes slack and this results in a drop in blood pressure, as a result the heart goes faster in order to keep blood pressure up.
The slackness of the smooth muscle means that the muscle around the internal anal sphincter also goes slack, which means that it is easier to penetrate.
Muscle inside the vagina also slackens, which is reasonable because this is really the same group of muscles.
Apart from this the nitrogen in the vapours binds in the blood and cause rapturous feelings rather in the same way that inhaling nitrous does, with nitrogen bonds being formed in the blood and limiting oxygen supply.
The brain experiences this as a loss of inhibition (less control by the cortex) and the limbic system takes over.
Women having vaginal sex often enjoy poppers as much as men do.
The effects wear off very quickly, but be cautious after using as dizziness and fainting may occur if you get up too soon.
Needless to say, the effects are very much magnified if you have taken mdma or smoked weed.

So is it a aphrodisiac for woman? What about for men?

I think the ingredient in most now is cyclohexyl nitrite. Obviously it's best combined with crystal. If you are into fisting or massive penetrations, go for it.

I've personally never used them, and don't want to. I would prefer a male or female sexual partner to not be into them, or any drugs. I have seen men on webcam sniff poppers and they told me how they're just like glue except they make the person inhaling them horny for a minute or two. I've heard they're really bad for the heart/circulatory system and even immune system.

I wouldn't call poppers an aphrodisiac - yes it can enhance sexual stimulation but having a few sniffs of it when not having sex (dancing etc) does not make you feel horny and it doesn't put you in the mood for sex (its effects are too short lived).

Care does need to be taken when using them when having sex as if you spill it on your skin it can burn you. Safest way is to use two bottles - one contains your poppers, one only has a ball/wad of cotton wool in the bottom. Pour a small amount of the poppers onto the cotton and use that - (so it can't spill or tip over etc).

"So is it a aphrodisiac for woman? What about for men?"

I would not call it an aphrodisiac although some people do. I would say that poppers enhance orgasm.
Sniffing poppers turns off the inhibiting powers of your mind and allows your more animal instincts to take over. I suppose a Freudian would say the Id takes over.

Men usually find poppers prior to ejaculation pleasurable. The ejaculation seems to feel harder and more powerful.
Taken too early though, poppers might cause you to loose your erection.

Quite a lot of people get a headache after poppers.
Amyl nitrite seems to give a worse headache than isopropyl nitrite.
I suggest trying different brands to find one that suits you.
Bearlove's tip about using a separate inhaling bottle is very wise.

problem with poppers is that if you use them for a reasonably long time (eg every weekend for about 3 months), you don't feel as good on them anymore. Tolerance builds up! which sucks ass, big time.

@ Drancer - I have never heard of anyone building a tolerance to poppers when used at weekends only. If you used them daily then a tolerance would build but a few days off them any tolerance would have subsided.

Tolerance builds over a few hours. There's a saying, "When the poppers stop working it's time to get out of the sling".
The good side is that the tolerance doesn't last. Leave it a week and the poppers work just fine again.

@Bearlove and @augustaB, they sure do work all right, but only the first 5 huffs, after that the highly erotic buzz is gone and no matter how much I huff on the damn bottle, it just makes me warm in the face and a slight headache thats, it. So timing is everything - ie, fight the temptation to take it out during the first half of sex/batting session, leave it until close to point of no return! Harder said than done though.. lol.

Yes Drancer, best effect with poppers is to wait until you are ready to come and then go for it with each partner taking a big huff.
You might also like to think about huffing from a separate bottle with a little bit of cottonwool and a small quantity of poppers on the cottonwool.
That way its easier to avoid spills and you don't have to think a lot about putting the pesky bottle away before getting on with the action.

The original post about tolerance was using them for several weeks at the weekend and building a tolerance - that's not the same as using them for a prolonged period during the same session /day :D. Don't forget that poppers is being linked to weakening your immune system so extra care needs to be taken.
