I used to know a gay guy who was so into poppers that he would pour out bottles of Iron Horse, and Rush onto multiple cotton balls, put them into a large jar and inhale them. I've heard of people putting them onto cotton balls and then put them into a gas mask, or bag and inhaled them. That can't be good as they're not designed to be inhaled in large quantities.
A gay male friend of mine who used them mainly in the 1970s and early 1980s before GRID/HIV/AIDS said how back then when they really were Amyl, and not Butyl or other nitrates they were better. But he would just inhale them the way they're supposed to be inhaled and never used a jar, gas mask, or bag.
I used to know a bisexual man who inhaled them in the late 70s or early 80s while going to bars and discos, and only sniffed them while dancing; but that's what some people did then he said.
I know a different bisexual man who said how when he was into clubbing decades ago in the 70s and 80s people would inhale Ethyl chloride from rags, and how he tried it once and it was not that enjoyable to him but some people loved it and would inhale it while dancing or during sex. But inhaling Ethyl chloride is dangerous.
