Will the New Tobacco Tax stop you from buying Tobacco to mix with your Marijuana?

The debate should be that if weed were decriminalised would it allow users to grow their own plant?

If so, I can see every pot head growing their own lil bud baby, removing the chance for the government to tax anything. Would they allow it?
 
I smoke a mix, bongs, hashpipes, joints, I don't give a shit. I smoked straight green for years but have come to love spinning (honestly none of my mates have ever called it that) for a number of reasons.

Firstly, I find that you get hooked on the actual act of smoking marijuana, this being the case it is cost effective to bulk it out with tobacco. Also, I find it takes relatively small amounts of marijuana to have an effect but if you smoke it straight green you generally smoke alot more than that before it hits you, you end up going through twice as much bud to barely even be more high.

I like the taste more, I admit before I was a smoker I preferred the taste of straight green so this probaby depends if you smoke or not but for me its ace.

It burns better, sure when you get shit thats been well cured it isn't really an issue but when you get wetter buds it can be a cunt to smoke without some tobacco.

It gives a headspin which some people, including myself, find enjoyable.

As someone who is addicted to nicotine I find it good to be able to nail two birds with one stone, thats not to say I would be too lazy to light up a ciggy after a mull but I generally find it more pleasurable when your fix of both drugs synergise.

I do think spinning makes weed more addictive, because you reinforce the act of smoking bongs and putting THC in your system with killing your nicotine cravings. I believe spinning probably has caused more incidents of marijuana dependance and probably more often leads to serious dependance where the person smokes all day.

I will continue to msoke cigarettes and 'spin' my marijuana. I don't know anyone who smokes dope regularly with tobacco who isn't a tobacco smoker. Actually I know one, but he will keep spinning because he scabs them off his dad.
 
I don't smoke cigarettes at ALL
But me and my mates who get high regularly (they don't smoke tobacco either) we always mix it in with our weed.

Makes the mix bigger, goes down smoother, sure it gets you just as high, but I find it's more enjoyable along the way, and more relaxing then just green.

It's also helpful on those days where you only get a little bit of weed, you can really pan it out if you want to. Also as I don't smoke tobacco, I find the relaxing feeling that comes with it, I find more enjoyable. I don't mean to pay out on you "purist" smokers.

But at the end of the day, it's just preferance. Some people like their Jack Daniels on the rocks, others like it mixed ;)

Although if you had some crazy good booze like Johhny Blue then I find it insulting to mix it.
It's the same with weed in my view, if you get that really awesome strain, don't mix it. Just enjoy it.
 
No it will definitely not stop non-smokers from spinning their weed. I am a non-smoker and a moderate user of cannabis and I will never go back to green only!

Why? I smoke about 2 grams a week, that's two cigarettes a week which is around just $1.50/week. Not so expensive.

I get a lot more smokeable product if I spin, and I get a nice head spin after my first cone.

As the last poster said, I actually like the process of pulling a bong. If there were no spin it simply wouldn't pull the same or weed would be wasted.

I am also a firm believer that weed+tobacco mix gets you higher. I have sources to backup this claim. Americans (and most other countries) do not spin their weed but they have a little thing called 'poppers'. Basically they chop a 2mm chunk off a cigarette and stick it in their cone with some chopped weed. Result? Well, read here http://forum.grasscity.com/pandoras-box/202524-popper-demystified.html.
Their magical little process of clearing the chamber with no smoke and a 'pop' sound seems awfully familiar, doesn't it?

I have never felt the need to pickup smoking after smoking spun weed for many years. In my mind it is just a silly habit. I guess I did listen to my parents when they said don't smoke. Luckily they never said don't do drugs %)

I think if they were to legalise it, the prices wouldn't drop.
They would be trying to take advantage of the street prices.

Nearly said them out loud :P

But needless to say, I'd be willing to pay standard street prices if I knew the product was gonna be good quality.

If the market were competitive (which it is!) I believe the prices would drop. If not, I'm going to open a cannabis dispensary and under cut all the big players. Then someone would undercut me, and the game continues.

All in theory at least, assuming the market would not be run by the govt.
 
I think the prices would drop a little but not by much. It isn't as if weed is that expensive as it is and they wouldn't want it to be so cheap everyone could afford to do it all day every day without having to really worry about money.

I would love it if they legalised cannabis, considering I smoke every day and if I get caught in the act or can't find some clean urine for my drug tests I am homeless. It really is ridiculous how badly people get persecuted for smoking a fucking plant, I seriously think if intelligent life landed on earth they would burst out laughing at the concept of drug prohibition its that ridiculous.
 
^ I have actually wondered about drug prohibition on other worlds myself, assuming there are other planets out there which host some form of intelligent life. I would like to think earth is the only backwards ass place in the universe that would have such stupid drug policy, but I guess we wont know till the aliens come down and tell us. Haha.
 
I too am awaiting the arrival of the Mothership with Bootsy and Clinto and everyone on board to bring us that funky funk and enlighten us to the way forward. :)

That's cos they addicted. i sen it 100 times at least. Nicotince is a hell of a drug, but many people don't rea;lise til its too late :(

Kidding right? Australia probably has THE highest price for weed in the world. I only realised this once I got talking to some international forum goers (not this forum) about pricing. Weed in Australia is rediculously expensive, yet we are the second biggest smokers in the world (link) , so there is no correlation between the two.

Also you can be sure if marijuana were decriminalised they would still test for it in job applications. No doubt.
 
I started on smoking weed in joints with tobacco and when I first tried cones i didn't mix, I've smoked striaght green ever since unless smoking with a couple of mates who only smoke mixd weed, sometimes i just bring my weed to chop up and get a 2nd mix bowl. when rolling joints with the same mates i'll mix it, otherwise just straight green now.
I find smoking straight is smoother and tastes better. I don't have a problem with how weed burns on its own.

smoking a mixd cone especially if its the first cone of the session will give me a headspin that is either enjoyable or unenjoyable and makes me very dizzy... I find the high weed gives on its own much more enjoyable and superior

oh...and my mates will keep buying cigs, they also all smoke.

I love smoking on everything I've done so far except for DXM. With opioids I can't smoke as much as I like because I throw up.
 
I started off on spin purely because that's what my mates all smoked and they also smoked a fair amount of ciggies on their own, personally I had no desire for plain cigarettes but came quite accustomed to the instant mild nicotine rush in cones, however the main reason we did it was purely to 'bulk' it up and have more cones in a session. I remember when I was a big noob and never even had cigarettes before I accidentally swallowed a big fat cone of spin smoke and passed out slightly, was pretty embarrassing :D

Nowadays I'll smoke it straight or mix it with something called great mullein, the main reason I stopped spinning it because eventually I could feel myself craving that nicotine and I figured sticking to 1 bad habit is better than 2.

I definitely notice a difference between the two though, for some reason now I find spin very harsh on the lungs while straight cones can do down easily but feel abit 'thick' in the lungs, also I notice a difference in how long it takes for the effects. First time I went back to straight I had about 5 quick cones one after the other and was wondering if I had dud weed, 15 mins later I was absolutely blitzed =D
