There will be a large proportion of people convicted in the courts for things they did for things while UTI of drink or drugs. Some of those things they may not be even be able to remember doing. In those lapsed memory cases it could be argued that the person was not themselves, but even when the person could still remember their inhibitions will have been lowered, and they would not have been their sober selves. But that is definitely not usually a successful defence AFAIK.

I don't think it necceassarilly makes any difference as to the verdict or sentence a judge will hand out in such cases. Definitely wont with those hard line anti drug / alcohol judges, although may do with those with 'softer' attitudes towards such things, or for people with better defence lawyers.....

The hard line reasoning being that the person was responsible for taking the drink or drugs in the first place.
 
yeah, I am sorry, I did not deliver the sarcasm. It was completely tongue-in-cheek, I just shared fubars experience, I locked my bike once just wrong place and when I found it I know I was responsible but it didn't feel like that.

I didn't care to figure out what was the yesterday about, I was pretty high and just deleted the insults, I am not sure if Fubar even said anything wrong.
