Will i see a decent government before i die?

I did that for most of my youth. Then, somehow, I gained a zest for life. This necessitated a striving for improvement.

Will it happen? Almost certainly not. Will I feel personally castrated and impotent if I don’t at least try to make this sorry State at least slightly better to pass on to my children? Absolutely so.

The fence is poison and lava. It’s a bad place to be sitting.

I’ve watched multiple family members, close friends, lovers and acquaintances die and many more in desperate need of social, psychiatric and medical care.

This is precisely why I give a fuck.

Some parties want to cut those services to the bone and/or completely privatise them. I’ll let you guess which…

So just let them do it? Fuck no. Fight, fight, fight. Till the last breath. This country is bad enough as it is: why sit on the fence waiting for it to fail completely? I honestly don’t understand this absence of humanity. Harsh but ultimately true.

I wouldnt regard Panorama as some kind of impartial ultimate source of information. As if their conclusion will be the whole truth.

I'd say the exact opposite in fact.

They have their own pre-set agendas for each episode. And go out of their way to distort the picture to fit their narrative.

Two prime examples were the 'people are getting ADHD diagnosese too easily and the system can be faked to get access to "powerful drugs"' episode, and also the 'cannabis causes schizophrenia' episode.

Both episodes were incredibly biased and one sided, and missed the point altogether with ADHD, in that millions of people with as yet undiagnosed ADHD are on years long waiting lists to receive they help they need to get their lives back on track.

That should have been the point.

Its far from just those 2 episodes, IIRC every epiosde I've ver watched has clearly has a biased, one sided agenda.

I can't stand the program. The ADHD episode was the final star in me stopping watching the BBC and paying their licence fee.

Sorry to lauch all this at you New 2 Drugs. Just the mention of the Panorma program always sets me off on obe. It's nothing personal against you, or an attack on you.

Panorama program is generally quite good so I disagree
 
@new2drugs it's far too much of an anxiety producing topic for me to speak much of this evening (selfcare) but I imagine many of the disaffected Germans responding exact same way to early-hitler's rhetoric as you are doing towards Reform

I'm not blaming or judging you in any way at all and can see exactly why many would feel similarly. Unfortunately you're being cleverly manipulated into enabling real fascism into power in this country, the manipulators are fully aware that the conditions are prime for such.

History is littered with the exact same scenario played out ad nauseam. This is why people are getting the fear, because it's clear that so many falling for it again.

The economy is top priority
 
So why hand the economy over to the party with the shakiest grasp of economics? Tories and Labour lie a lot but at least have a vague grasp of economics.

Reform promise everything to everyone (except brown people, naturally) which is a sure sign they’re not only lying their arses off but also have no clue what they’re dealing with.

They will get in. And Tory austerity will seem like a pleasant memory :\

They have both been terrible for the economy.
