If you had to choose only one video game console to own, which would it be and why.... I have been thinking about getting one of those systems..... I am into FPS games first game i would want to buy would" Call of Duty: Black Ops " and than " GoldenEye 007 ".
 
Well if your really into FPS's, forget the Wii.

Id go with the Xbox 360 (Newest edition one). Reasons being;

- Live is always up and working. Ive owned a 360 for ages and have never had a problem.
- Yea we have to pay for out DLC but we also get it sooner than PS3 owners.
- The Xbox Live arcade is just insanely awesome.
- Xbox Live Marketplace
- If you finish your games in a timely manner but want more of a challenge, Xbox 360 games have "Achievements" for you to unlock.
- The 360 streams music and videos from your PC.

There's more reasons, but imo, the number one reason would be: The Xbox 360 has a better and huger range of games then any of the other gaming consoles.
 
I had that debate last year. Well, Wii wasn't in it. I went with the PS3 because it had the type of games that I like. I was told that if I liked fighting games, to go with Xbox. I also went with PS3 because it can play BluRays.

If you like Mario-esque games (check out LittleBigPlanet :P), get a PS3. If you like fighter games, get Xbox. If you like Mario games, get a Wii. Haha, that's not all each has, but that's the main attraction in my opinion.
 
if you want to play interesting, truly immersive games get a ps3, if you want to play games for mindless tedium get an xbox

But seriously, xbox360. Better games and their new Kinect system is pretty neat.
 
As an I.T techy bloke I know of wayyyyy to many people with paper weight Xbox consoles due to "the ring of death" which is quite concerning for me. Fortunately more often than not they can be fixed up if done correctly.

I'm fairly happy with the PS3 (Albeit I don't play it much)...forgetting it being a games console its already a blu-ray player, streams t.v catch up services and love film movies, free internet browsing (although doesn't support Java) and a bunch of other shite too!

I like the fact there's no fees for the Playstation network despite the recent exploitations!

To me the Wii is a console you break out occasionally for a laugh with mates, not a serious gaming console like the PS3 or XBox. All the extra stuff you have to buy for the Wii starts getting silly imo...plus all the mentioned consoles now have interactive functions like the Wii with PS3's Move camera and the Xboxs Kinect.
 
^The fact that the PS3 is so multi-functional is incredibly appealing to me. If I had the cash I'd pick one up for sure.

One of the things I like about the Wii is that you can download virtual copies of games from all of the old Nintendo consoles. I have about 20 of the N64 games on mine. :)
 
I like the xbox 360 and have one. I've played playstation 3 at my cousins and it was okay but I still prefer the xbox...the only downside on the 360 is you cannot surf the internet which I find pretty lame. Now if they change that feature I will be fully content with the game system.

I played wii all the time at my friends house. Its fun but only if you play it once in awhile...
 
No, I don't because its only fifty dollars for a whole year and then I can watch netflix as well which my mom pays for since I use her account.
