Why women try to change (us) men?

I'd never let a woman change me.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to put the dirty clothes in the hamper, make the bed, and burn some incense to make the room smell nice.

Everyone, hell EVERYTHING changes you. [I assure you, interacting with anything is bound to at a minimum, change the quantum statedness of at least one particle in you]

On the bigger scale, people in *any* sort of relationship, change each other. From adversarial ones like a jailer and prisoner, to more neutral ones like your co-workers or your professor, to friends, family and lovers.

It is not unique to females targeting romantically involved males.
 
I don't think its really so much YOU they are trying to "change" but I believe that in a relationship, you are both suppose to grow, as individuals, only for the better. It's not really a good thing if you, or your significant other aren't benefitting from the relationship. I believe that your significant other is there to help you grow, and support those changes (hopefully only for the better), and visa versa. Two minds work better than one. And if a couple isn't growing and maturing, and embracing the possibilities of bettering yourselves, then what are you doing in a relationship?

If you weren't so consistently pedantic then you wouldn't knock 'em out of the park like this on occasion.
 
That is a home run for sure, but that is sidebar talk.

I think many women have a genetic based need for order and consistency of life/comfort. If that comfort level is not achieved through deliberation it is attempted to be reachhed through sometimes myopic and/or negative means.

The will to power runs strong in all of us, for the most part.

There are many studies on this subject as it simply is the human psychological condition.

The OP manipulated the terms for us (men) to try and bury ourselves with our responses, that should of been clear right away.

There is an action which leads to every cause, and this cause is not a strict rule of the action.


Compared to men, how many more females do you think have obsessive compulsive d/o's, self harm issues, over or under eating? To begin with.

Suicide attempts and successes are drastically higher amongst women then men...This is a very deep subject that is not at all petty, and it is due to the instinctual drive for change and creativity.
