Meth is quite popular in certain areas of Europe and certain groups.
First of all it is widespread in LGBT "party"community particularly in London, Berlin and Barcelona.
The second group consists of physical workers, drivers, construction crews, and small time criminals, hooligans etc in Eastern Europe.
Third very closed group are Thai and Vietnamese communities in Europe.
As to the first you it is usually provided by escorts in these main cities, chemsex parties, gay saunas and massage places. It is a well known problem in the community and drug services. Usually combined with GHB. In Spain coke is seen as better alternative but it still exists as a choice.
The second group is in Czech Republic, Poland, Eastern Germany. Particularly Lower and Upper Silesia in Poland. It usually is very impure, often the "wired" type of meth that causes psychosis without euphoric effects and dangerous. Since Ukraine-Russian war, sometimes they sell Alpha PVP or other synthetic drugs as meth. It is used by niche group of users from the lower strata of society, and is competing with mephedrone(or what is sold as such) which is the most popular stimulant drug in Eastern Europe. About two-three months ago they busted a lab operated by Mexicans and Columbians near Warsaw, which to me indicates groups from South America want to sell the product to immigrant workers in Eastern Europe(there is a huge number of them now in the region)
The third group is very closed and usually is just used within it, although they were cases where Vietnamese and Thais started selling/offering it. There was a bust in Switzerland in Thai massage places were meth was offered and some Vietnamese shops in Poland, Czech Republic and Eastern Germany were busted under the same reason.
At least this is my extent of knowledge as a former UK addict, there are probably more nuances and groups I am not aware of(for instance I heard Greece has meth problem, but it is very impure and toxic there, made with bottom tier chemicals). I know nothing about Netherlands, Belgium and France is an absolute black hole(although logically there has to be a huge drug user community there)
In my view, generally the drugs in Europe became very polluted since 2022 war due to trade of synthetic drugs from Ukraine and the same applies to meth. Probably best to stay away unless you want to risk serious poisoning or damage to your body. Most drugs today are synthetic chems sold as something else.
