Why is gay sex so filthy and raunchy?

As for why the lesbian and M2W craigslist adds are not as raunchy as the gay ones, I think I know.

It is all about the best way to have success in hooking up with the person. Most men would realise that going up to a woman and saying something like 'I want to ram my dick up you arse and then have choke on your own shit', is not going to work in real life or on the internet. You have to use a bit more tact. However, to a particular subset of gay men this might be more appealling. Men can be alot more direct with another in order to get laid. With the vast majority of women, such directedness is a turn off or spells out danger.

Think you might be on to something there.

Pffftt.....

I find it pretty hard to believe that you can walk into any room and have your pick of the women in there. There is quite a big divide between fantasy and reality.

No but you don't get it, he's just being honest about the gifts God gave him... ;)
I find it hard to believe anyone can walk into any room and have their pick of women or men. Short of Johnny Depp maybe.

rangza, I think you have a bit of a sampling bias going on here. You are basing your understanding of gay sex off what you are reading on craigslist, bath houses, sex on site premises, and when you have been around gay friends who have let youy watch. Of course thi going to seem raunchy to you as you seeing the most extreme end of the spectrum. You are not basing it also on the sex that gay men have privately in their own beds (either casually or as a couple). I am sure that would be much different. Rather, you are seeing the more deviant or 'adventurous' of their sexcapades. It also seems like drugs, particularly meth might be involved. Also, using gay porn as a means to give insight into gay sex is a bit flawed too. As we both know (as heterosexual dudes), straight porn isn't representative of straight sex either.

That is a very good point. I am presuming (my apologies if I'm wrong) that the quiet, chill, non-adventurous, laid back gay people were not included in rangrz's experiences.

Nobody told me this. No wonder I have no luck with the ladies. Fuck.

Not to sound sexist or prejudiced or anything - but I think if someone posts an ad for violent-type sex with a woman it screams danger far more than it does with a man.

I dunno... I'd be pretty uncomfortable with a stranger, male or female, who wanted me to come over to sub to them and etc... and that's despite being a sub and being quite good with and willing to place myself in harm's way.

Yeah which seems perfectly normal, but I do think as a general rule it would probably scare women more than men. I'm just supposing really, I don't have anything to back that up.

Perhaps cause of a perception (which is statistically true, but not by nearly the margin a lot of people think) that males wanting to do raunchy or degrading or "violent" sexual things to a female is a mark of a serial killer or torture rapist, but a male wanting to do it to another male is just kink and not malicious? (In fact, it's pretty common amongst serial killers and torture rapists to do so) and that female doing to male is purely just good kinky fun and harmless?

But still, why so few female for male that are nearly as raunchy... no " I want you come lick my unwashed fishy cunt clean and them I'm going to peg you so hard you cry" type of stuff to be found...

Yup that's what I figure.

As for the female for male thing, I think it might just be that there are less women who are into that. I suppose it's probably mostly cultural but my impression is that there are waaay more dom-oriented men than there are sub, and opposite for women. (Once again no proof but I'm pretty sure that's true no?)

i've never asked my gay friends how they have sex, and they never talked about it. now I am curious. fuck you rangerz

I dunno... I've found and met.a lot of Dom oriented females... or at least switch with.a preference for Dom, more than I have sub females. I even remember reading a survey done by some sex related magazine on the topic that found more.female respondents where interested in Dommeing than subbing.

But it might be population dependant. I.e. my personal exp is mainly young, bisexual females with liberal sociopolitical views, highly educated in STEM subjects( science,technology,engineered,mathematics/medicine for acronym....fields that tend to be a little less traditional and less hung up on stereotypes), and either in a "power" position or in the process of getting into one. (Physicians, Engineers, Military Officers, professors, a molecular biologist, etc)

The magazine would have a sample bias in a similar way, of women who are not repressed, don't adhere to gender roles and are overtly sexual.

There do seem to be more.Dom males than sub, but that doesn't hold true in my exp once you get into the subset of people who are into "the scene".

Really? Huh, my bad then. Didn't realise that.
But if you stay at the level of people who aren't too kinky (like don't go into more than handcuffs or spanking or whatever) I'd think there are def more dom men/sub women no? Be it only because it's more 'acceptable'. Like if you stay out of 'the scene'.
Otherwise I'm stumped :p

Ya, I think because it's acceptable and conditioning by society.

It's not easy for a guy to be openly submissive... "So, last night, my GF tied me up, caned me, made me kiss her feet and eat her ass out while she stuck a toy in mine and didn't let me cum" is a lot harder to say and gets a lot of criticism from one's bros compared to "Last night, I smacked my bitch in the face, spanked her, fucked her up the ass and went a2m then she made me a burger". the first one is met with contempt and wtf. The.second with bro-fists and admiration. I have no issue with saying the first, but it's hard to call a guy in hard plate body armor holding a carbine a pussy. ;)

A lot of dudes seem put off by sexually dominant girls... I mean fuck, even compare the number of blowjobs vs vagoo nomming that one sees depicted in media/internet or even our own "last time you had sex thread" I swear, I'm the only poster there that posts about nomming. :p Even sexually aggressive females get shamed as sluts or whores or w/e. I think sexually aggressive and dominant females are the best the best the best... but most guys seem to consider them harlots and that sickens me.

Yeah definitely. I can't really think of any rational explanation for it other than it being more acceptable to society.
And yeah rangrz, being in the army you can probably say whatever the hell you want and no one will ever question your manliness, but unfortunately that isn't the case for most guys ;)

I know, it's sad really...I mean personally I'm really not (hey, they're not necessarily the best of the best of the best :( ) but I honestly don't see why that would make them more 'slutty', I really don't.
Plus it's not as if nomming were a dominant thing, it should be done anyway ><

I like hitting the stem when it's full of nice glassy shards. :D

at pagey re: noms. I dunno, a lot of dudes seem to equate noms with submission or at least see them as a "treat" for special occasions but see blowjobs as obligatory.

I remember Ms.G said one of her ex's wouldn't nom because he felt too submissive doing it.

I can't understand that, cause I LOVE doing it, and I'll nom a girl even if I'm domming, just cause *I* like it.

^you actually said in one of your posts about a month ago something akin to what you're dissing haha.
I'm quite sure that her "personal jab" was also an "observation."

And if it didn't bother you, you wouldn't have mentioned it.

nah I found it funny...it seems I misunderstood, but either way funny.

I honestly feel that for real raunchiness, a cock must be involved.

Why?

Taking example of people who seek out other people to fuck on craigslist, "bath houses" and porn is definitely an extremely small niche of gay sex, and even sex in general. With two gay men there's a chance of it being raunchy but just as much as there being a chance of a female wanting to get whipped and slapped around...saying something like "why is gay sex so raunchy" is pretty offensive IMO. Maybe ask around to gay couples who don't go out to swingers clubs / partake in drug fueled sex...
why is it offensive? Why take offense over something that doesn't matter?! it seems mad.
