why have tumblr 'grunge' girls adopted acid as there supposed drug of choice?

That sucks. I used to love acid. Particularly the gel tabs. I went through sheets one year. It's a shame people now a days have a difficult time finding good L. Apparently the days of getting delicious blotters of good, clean, fluff are gone.

For people who like acid that definitly sucks lol. I never liked hallucinogens to be honest, xcept for MDA and 2c-b. I still prefer LSD to shrooms though. Shrooms made me have some insane and not in a very good way trips, whereas the only time i did L it was fucking amazing how clean and mentally euphoric it was...though very intense and i was feeling weird for a few weeks after. Nowadays my mind cant handle it anymore

I feel bad if that's how things are for you... in my neck of the woods there isn't a doubt. other chemicals on blotter are sold as those chemicals. 15 year olds get real LSD in my town.

Well actually LSD was a popular drug in the grunge scene, especially in the early years. Idk about these chicks, or tumblr or anything, but there was a fairly psychedelic nature to grunge music, and the images and culture that surrounded it. Have you ever seen the "come as you are" video? and a famed grunge band called tad, who named one of their albums after a blotter acid name, "8-way santa".

qft. Am old enough to have lived grunge in its heyday (saw most of the bands mentioned live and not at big venues either) and yep, trips and shrooms were a big part of it all. E was more of a european thing back in the late 80s/very early 90s so acid and shrooms were what most of us had, it was also part of the whole "tribal" thing that was in vogue back then, led by Jane's Addiction and then the first Lollapalooza, yadda yadda. Grunge in its prime was pretty much just a combo of heavy psychedelica+punk and hardcore.

Billy Corgan said the Pumpkin's 1st album "Gish' was trips-influenced, the Seattle bands (Mudhoney were the shit) used to joke about shrooms growing naturally all over the pacific northwest, and lol the Butthole Surfers were all about getting faced. No idea what the tumblr girls are up to but acid and shrooms were definitely a big part of grunge

I got more (and better quality) LSD while I was in HS compared to after graduation.

Same. I haven't had real LSD since highschool... but I got mindfucked on some DOX once in college that was sold as LSD blotters. Made the 'mistake' of taking 3 hits and not feeling it after a couple hours, then going to buy a few more to take. And also, that metallic taste that it had, the second batch of blotters I took that night tasted WAAAAAY stronger and bitter than the first ones. I'm pretty sure it had a higher dose from the first ones I took. It made for a interesting 24-hours of tripping all alone in my grandmother's house right after I got out of jail for the first time. It was quite the endurance test!
