Why don't people in NSW write "NSW" in their addresses?

i learnt the hard way to write "NSW" in my address...


i was living in newtown, nsw, and was getting something mail order (possibly from amsterdam.. ) and just wrote "newtown 2617"..


anyway, the stoopid fuck who sent the stuff (possibly a queenslander.. ) sent it to newtown TASMANIA!!!!!!


now that really pissed me off...
