Why does LSA tend to cause worse nausea than LSD?

Does anyone else get intense cramps in their legs when they take the hbw seeds? feels kindof like vascular constriction of some kind. god ergot poisoning must suck!

Yeah man, took ten and my legs would constantly cramp up, found myself lieing in bed moving my legs constantly to counter it lol

LSA's dosage range is about 15-20x LSD's. A dose of LSD is about 150 micrograms; a dose of LSA is closer to 2 milligrams. At higher dosage levels it's not rare to see side-effects, from binding "extra" receptors, become more prevalent; agonism at some receptors (5-ht3 is the big name, but there are others... lysergamides do not bind 5-ht3) can cause severe nausea.

For a similar reason, the NBOMe series do not show much nausea, but the 2C series do.

How do you go about doing the sub lingual? do you make a water or alcohol extract and hold that in your mouth or just grinded up seeds?

The most successful reports I've read are just people who pop them in their mouth and chew.

Because sublingual usually means you get a far lower dose into your system.

I'm not convinced, it would mean that the people who took extra seeds to compensate for that should have gotten sick. But that simply isn't the case.

Unless that also means that ROA requires less to get you high.

Eat four grams of root ginger. This is a must before taking any psychedelic, unless you're looking to purge such as with cactus or ayahuasca. No one seems to believe me but this really, really works.

^ no yes i've had good results with eating ginger. and yes you do have to eat a good chunk of ginger if you want it to work

Another option for those who think raw ginger is too unpalatable is candied crystalline ginger.
I think you can also get away with low doses of anticholinergic antinauseants like diphenhydramine without affecting the trip too much. LSA/LSD are pretty stimulatory.

but it's said that even extracted LSA causes nausea much more severe than LSD. Why is that?

Actually, no one said that.

Hofmann and Shulgin administered isolated lysergic acid amide and neither one of them gives any indication that they experienced nausea. Hofmann's report can be found here ( http://www.psychedelic-library.org/hofmann.htm search the page for LA-111 to jump to the paragraph). Shulgin's report can be found here: http://www.erowid.org/library/books_online/tihkal/tihkal26.shtml (see the "LA-111, ergine, d-lysergamide." subsection)

The author of this solvent extraction ( http://forums.lycaeum.org/index.php?topic=4167.0 ) indicates that his procedure gets rid of the nausea.

And the author of the following solvent extraction says that his end product produces no nausea: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/6938032#6938032
Additionally, he says he was able to eliminate the nausea factor in a refined water preparation that he details here: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/6286215#6286215

And I personally have eliminated the nausea in water infusions by consuming a potent ginger tea.
