Why does LSA tend to cause worse nausea than LSD?

I've done both LSD and LSA. I've had nausea from LSD, but the nausea I got from HBW seeds caused nausea so bad that it wasn't even funny. I know there are other components in HBW seeds than contribute to nausea, but it's said that even extracted LSA causes nausea much more severe than LSD. Why is that?

I don't know about you, but it's the plant extracts, or if I make it into a tea, the plant-ey taste gives me TERRIBLE nausea with LSA. But maybe it isn't just that, maybe there's more to it than that?

I heard they were cousins! No, I'm kidding. Sort of. That might also be the reason, but I know part of the reason for me IS the taste. If I get the extract I get less nausea. Also, I always wanted to make the extract but I figured that takes some complex machinery or something. I have a big patch of morning glories this year. Only the right kind, of course.

Morning glory and hawaiian baby woodrose seeds contain saponins and glycosides that irritate your stomach. In addition, LSA and other ergoloids (seeds are not pure compounds) have much less affinity for the "good" 5-HT2a receptor and more affinity for the other serotonin receptors, like the ones that control gut peristalsis and cause nausea. (also explaining their "dirtier" & less potent experience)

Yeah, they're kinda cousins but one is the pretty cousin and one is the hillbilly, hair on his knuckles, holding a meat cleaver behind his back type cousin. You're best off sticking with LSD.

Thanks!

I think its something in the seeds themselves, not the LSA..like others said, try an extraction, but just know that LSA is really unstable..I believe you have to use it in a day or two..I dunno if there'sa anything u can do to extend the shelf life..maybe store in grain alcohol in perfect dark and cool?

LSA is brutally nauseous. I plan to never try it again for that reason, also there are just much 'nicer' mind expanding substances.

It's true the other chemicals in the seeds seem to cause alot of nausea, but I wonder what pure synthetic LSA would be like? Maybe still nauseating but not as much? I do love LSA as a drug, the six hours sedative dreamy LSD, but the physical effects suck. Strangely I found synthetic mescaline more nauseating than cactus extract, so pure chemicals can still be pretty nauseating.

I don't think it's the alleged "chemicals" on the seeds - I think it's the LSA.

Synthetic mescaline? What form were you sold this in? Synthetic mescaline is guaranteed to be some research chemical - it definately wasn't mescaline.

I think he was talking about the other active alkaloids in MG/HBRW seeds since he said in the seeds. Those do probably contribute to the nausea.

Yea I mean the chemicals in the seeds, its true theres nothing to the scraping the outside layer off the hbw seeds, its still just as nauseating either way. And the synthetic mescaline I've taken was in the HCl form, a slightly off white crystaline powder, I took 550mg. It is rare but it is out there on the market, pretty expensive though. I've taken 43 different psychedelics at this point, I know my chemicals and can ussure you I took synthetic mescaline.

How do you go about doing the sub lingual? do you make a water or alcohol extract and hold that in your mouth or just grinded up seeds?

I've taken LSA about 10-15 times , and not once have I encountered any nausea... Maybe its the way I take the seeds... Washed, grinded and left in pure orange juice for half an hour ? Works every time... How and i always make sure to have a good few pre-rolled joints.. Maybe the weed counters it... Anyway I've heard the seeds contain cyanide , although a very small amount , maybe this is cause most people nausea...

Pure orange juice? What form were you sold this in? Pure orange juice is guaranteed to be some other kind of juice - it definately wasn't pure orange juice =D
