So I read in another thread:
This isnt anywhere near being true for me. I have only used suboxone about 4 times total, over the course of about a year and a half. No matter how much sub I take, I am still sick for days before it begins to hold me. The last time I switched, I went from about a gram of heroin a day to sub. The day before going on sub, I did only a tiny tiny fraction of heroin. So I went on sub only about 4 hours after my last dose of heroin, but my last dose of heroin was about 5 mg when I am used to doing about 400 mg. so despite it only having been 4 hours, I was extremely sick and just couldnt take the pain anymorre. It had been about 16 hours since the last time I took a dose of heroin big enough to get me well.
Anyway, here is the thing. Even after I took the sub, I was still so sick that I was calling my friend and begging her to come take me to the ER because I didnt think I could stand it and my breathing was so labored I thought I was going to die. After about 8 hours of that hell and taking 20 mg of sub, I finally began to feel just a tiny bit better and by afternoon the following day I was well enough to be able to get out of bed for short periods of time. But even then, after five days on subs (though taking less each day) I was still sick and still unable to sleep.
I am now getting ready to detox again and I want to know why it is so hard for me? Did I time the suboxone wrong? Is there anytyhing I can do to make this proicess less painful? Dont get me wrong, suboxone is a lifesaver because even though my last withdrawal was truly hellish, I can only imagine how much worse it would be withou the sub. I am noit sure Id have survived it.
my opinion i feel is almost fact, i dont care how hardcore of a heroin addict many people are, from shoting 2-3 bundles a day or more, i feel 4mg bupe sublingually will take awy physical withdrawl, if not all the ay, an 8mg sub WILL 100% kill all physical WD withdrawling from heroin, i dont care how big the habi
