Why DIDN'T you get high today?

Because I drove just about the whole length of England - north to south - having been visiting my family for the weekend. However have had a large glass of wine since arriving back but nothing else. That definately counts.
 
Because Ive been hanging out with my little brother and he has a test tomorrow. However, I am probably going to smoke a spliff later on today.
 
I'm still ...

Saving the cash,
so that I can indulge at a later date.
small sacrifice to pay I think.

someone give me a million dollars...
 
Well, today I actually really wanted to do some drugs. I made it through the day, and I am very happy that I didn't resort to do any today. Maybe I am stronger then what I give myself credit for.

why?
even though i feel completely lethargic and bleh without drugs im comfortable being sober atm.

Well I took a little hydrocodone but didn't get high this morning....

But yeah basically cause I'm broke and out. Need to take a break though, in a serious way. I'm not as bad off as my boy though, he puked up some shit that looked like antifreeze yesterday (all he had was vodka, beer and fish sticks lol) and started coughing/sneezing up blood.

Rampant drug abuse ftw.
 
Because I just moved to Pittsburgh at the end of March and don't have any connections for the only drugs which interest me, weed and opiates. And even if I did I'm still waiting on a few checks for my writing and haven't been able to land a day job, so I'm broke.

Sobriety is grossly overrated. :p
 
Kenaz I am sorry man I feel you. However, been'n in Pitts you can find what you want in a few areas of town. What do you write if I may ask.

Just finished a manuscript entitled Papaver somniferum: the Most Dangerous Ally. It's a complete history of my favorite flower and its derivatives, from its humble beginnings along the southern coast of France and Spain to the present day. And I must say that I enjoyed the hell out of my research =D

Right now I'm waiting on a check for my book on trance possession and a few other smaller checks for magazine articles and columns. I've got a few ideas in mind for my next book: I'm seriously considering doing a complete history of stimulants from ephedra to crystal meth and beyond. Researching that won't be as much fun - I have little or no interest in recreational uppers, although I drink obscene amounts of coffee and wouldn't pass up some speed if I needed to get some stuff done. But I'm sure there will be a number of BL readers and others who would be happy to read it -- multiple times, with abundant highlightling and copious notes in the corners ;)
