Why did you Join BL?

Was part of Dancesafe, but was shuned for my non-americanism, and was directed here. Things turned out great. This is a VERY sweet website and community. You guys rock.
 
because i've already joined a punk community, a hiphop community and the last thing on my list was electronica/drugs.

so here i am!
 
hmm..my roomie told me about bluelight after I'd spent the last 6 months surfing erowid and pillreports all-day long. I'd never used a message board before.

I came here and registered but never really posted I don't think.

I eventually came back when I was bored one day and started posting in Drug Discussion.

I didn't make my 1st post in Aus Social until about Christmas time. I believe my 1st post in social was telling raving loony what he should do with $23 000.

For me, my heart will always be in drug discussion and its where I make 90% of my posts.
 
About 10 months ago I was on Erowid.org looking on shroomery.org looking for info on shrooms and found this website as one of the links. I was looking through all the threads and saw some intereresting discussion going on about drug use and decided I wanted to be a part of it.

Now I don't really post about drug use because I have completely stopped using drugs and go to this website for other topics.
 
wow, got to say, reading this is interseting. Seem like pill reports is responsible for alot of us here.

I joined bluelight because of a link to Pill Reports but i stayed, or became a member or however you see it becaues there was a void in my life. My best friend had gone overseas to the UK, my girlfriend cheated on me with her Drug-Dealing ex-boyfriend, I had a job that I worked ridiculous hours but just after I had just resigned from my job because I shagged the company secretary. All my other friends had slowly but surely grown away from me with my constant clubbing and drug use/abuse. I had people to go clubbing with every weekend - but they werent really friends.

Even overseas, the European forum is addictive with the sensible and charming people. I like bluelight though, because it compliments my life, my friends and is a wonderful resource for information.
 
I joined to to know more about drugs, now I hardly scope those forums, but now I think its more soical and learning all different kinds of things rather than drugs!!

honestly can't remember! I think I was searching yahoo (google wasn't around in those days) for some kind of forum like this, and stumbled upon bluelight.

met up with ferris (I remember one of our first online chats about nuskool breaks), then the huge BL meetup @ Kryal (Wild Things party), and the rest is history.

used to post heaps when I first joined (around 1999/2000 - without the ^ in my nic), then discovered thescene.com.au, and now I'm back!
 
I think I originally joined because I was on pill reports and found the link to bluelight.
I wanted to ask a question on bluelight so I joined and alas my thread got closed cause it was in the wrong forum lol
ah the days of being a greenlighter....
 
I went to Subbies one night with katmeow when she went to meet everyone ...

I actually met a few people before I joined ...
