Thx, will be nice to have achieved something! And yeah.. it's quite odd, because us lurkers know all your personalities, but you don't know us. Makes me feel a bit voyeuristic. :/
 
It's interesting to hear that a bunch of you guys joined during the mephedrone craze. I remember being at parties during that era (though not too often as i was a bit of a recluse back then) and i'd be banging on about drugs and stuff to strangers who all assumed i must have been a poster on erowid or BL. Not that you need a qualification or anything, they just couldn't see why not. Anyway, for me it was the methoxetamine ban that finally galvanised me into action. I'm struggling for a metaphor - meph babies / mexx babies etc..
 
Mephspawn? I quite like generation meph actually, has a nice rhyme to it.

Ceres is a big star isn't it? (not that there are too many small ones knocking about, but you know what i mean)

knockando is a whisky / place where it's made. Yet another username for yet another website/forum, there was a whisky in front of me so I chose it.

While I lurked on EADD for a year before joining and I used the site casually for years before that, it was sitting alone with a pile of meph that made me sign up, I'm pretty sure...
 
I like the avatar Knockando. Makes it look like the cat licks a poisened frog every 10 seconds or so...not that i have too much time on my hands or anything.

Nice work BlindHelperMonkey. I must have been thinking of alpha centauri or something - my astronomy is pretty weak, though something i'd love to brush up on one day.

It's a book. I'm being pretentious.

Joined because I was working a shitty job, lots of time to surf the web. Found links to Erowid and BL on the website of a student radio station in my home town. Went from there. Got flamed massively after my first post, and a nice reply from an admin on my second, which made me stick around.

That will always happen. What it really means is "there's a clique running things, and I am not part of it" =D. So many different cliques here, over time. Not that all mods or necessarily most are ever part of the same clique, but the cliques definitely exist. (It's a shame no-one ever wrote down the epic histories of battles, revolutions, backstabbings, alter-egos and hackings.... ;)).

[By the way, I think I was still on staff when you joined. Hope I wasn't one of the ones giving you shit? I remember we had one disagreement, but that was after you were a mod....]

Version 1: Joined during the Meph epidemic, with a load of other tragic lemmings. =D
Version 2: It's an anagram of Magic Ring Melt, a product I once tried to patent. 8o
