who's an amateur photographer here?? show your wares!!

Berlin, looking back towards Alexanderplatz. I was there in September 2006

Taken with a Cannon IXUS 60

I know it's not as fantastic as what others have posted....I tend not to have a good eye at taking pictures so when things actually turn out (like this one) then I get a bit excited even though by comparison it's fairly ordinary. It's my work computer desktop picture.

I wish i wasnt on dial up and can have this thread load quicker grrrrrr

This holiday started my love-affair with taking photos of doorways.

sunset over the Andaman Sea (again, sorry if this is a repost, i'm just going through some photos and these were a couple that i really liked).

Hmm, my first post of photos from my new (well not that new anymore, but still kinda) camera. Being 35mm makes it more difficult to actually get them scanned etc.

Having a camera in Melbourne is indispensible (especially now that I don't have a car) as the amount of remarkable things you come across just walking the streets is phenomenal! :)

Here are some of my favourites.

Really good, Jill! I especially like the Volkswagon shot (i love VW's :)) I know what you mean about having a camera down there... I took some great shots riding the escalators at Parliament station... A fantastic space!

New_beginning: I love that picture of the building!! Freaking awesome!

I love it too, the dark shade of the photo gives the impression that the building disappears into the sky, and the viewer doesn't actually know how tall the building is. :D The building, to me anyway, seems to have a life of it's own. It's really quite a dark (in mood) photo, and i really like that.

i've been trying to display these photos for ages, but the best that i can do is provide a link to the web album where i've managed to upload them.

playing around on photoshop with a picture that i took of a laneway in melbourne:

I'm taking photography this year as one of my subjects so hopefully i'll actually be able to take some good pics soon and not just him lol
