Who Would Play You in the Movie of Your Life? (online test thingy for the bored)

I believe you Shambles, I wouldnt say i get on with women better than men generally, but i definately very seldom have had clashes / rows / been on the receiving end of verbal abuse from / with women as opposed to blokes which has happened more often. Women are nicer to me than blokes are, generally. Other than that its very much down to the individual persons regardless of what sex they are.

Oh I have. Women can dish it out as well as any man. If not better. I just feel more relaxed and comfortable around women, generally speaking, than I do with any men. That's not to say I don't get on with fellas too (cos I do) but, for the most part, men that I really click with are very thin on the ground. It's not so much a "being nice to me" thing as it is... dunno actually... just get on better with women in every way. Especially when it comes to conversation which is the bit that most fellas find the most unbelievable. It's true though. Blimey are most male conversations mind-numbing 8(

I'll put both sexes down as equal on this one actually.

I know exactly what kind of mind-numbing male conversation you speak of, and it is truly excruciating, yeah. Especially if the bloke in question is crudely trying to find out whether you're 'one of them', which is something I've experienced quite often in the past.

Have you been in a room full of women who don't particularly like each other but feel they have to communicate with each other purely because they're women though? It's fucking tedious in the extreme; as bad as the guys, at least. Watch all the IQs in the room deplete themselves by half.

Better to speak to person rather than a gender, but sadly human interaction doesn't seem to work that way.

Quite. And I am perfectly aware that what I'm saying is no better than "Real Men" talking about man stuff with manly men (cos they obviously couldn't have that conversation with a woman cos it'd just go over the poor lil poppet's head (which is full of kittens, and rainbows, and ironing boards, and shoes, and kitchen sinks, and lingerie and stuff anyway)). I'm not gonna say my given opinion isn't over-simplified to the max - women's conversation can certainly be at least as mind-numbing as any blokey-blokey chat. It's a broad brushstroke kinda deal, for sure.

And yes, I do know exactly the kinda situation you speak of and would probably have to admit that the male equivalent (do anything other than make eye contact with the other, unknown, males, do not try to initiate conversation with 'em, presume that if any of the others break these unwritten rules they are a woofter (which means you are now allowed to enagage the men in the room who knew the score in 'banter' about the presumed sexual proclivities of Mr Overkeen-to-get-to-know-strange-men over there :sus:) could be preferable. Then again, enforced polite small-talk is painful no matter who is involved.

On a side note, I was seeing this girl years ago who's Mom looked a bit like Helen Mirren and she (the mother) turned out to be into naturism (she liked to be naked!). We all went out once to a posh, black tie dinner dance thing where we all got thrashed on free champagne and wine. The mother caught me having a line of coke (the daughter didn't know I did it!) me and the Mom ended up carrying on the party at the house, my girlfriend went to bed while me and the mother stayed up all night drinking and snorting and I fucked her in the kitchen and living room!!!!

Whaaaat, how are male conversations mind-numbing? At least they're not usually all about cats and babies. As a rule I always get on much better with blokes. (No offense to the lassies on here, I like you folks!)
 
Y'know I've never once had a conversation with women about cats or babies. Actually I'm sure I must have occasionally. I like cats and babies though. Perhaps this is why the set-up works so well :D

Dunno. Maybe I've never been exposed to "normal" girlie talk. I've never really lived in the "normal" world so any gals I know tend to be... well... unlikely to be obsessed with cats and babies ;)

PS: I do believe I never got around to replying to your last PM (am a bugger for that :o) but have news in one of the areas we were discussing. May be all PM'd out for the day cos I've replied to... ooh... some (and an email or two - what's wrong with me today 8() but there has been some furtherance on the moving away side of things I'm sure you'll be nothing less than thrilled to receive an update on. Thrilled. Nothing short.
