WHITNEY Houston’s body was ravaged by scars, cuts and burns when she died, shock autopsy details reveal.

Years of drug and booze abuse had also left her with a dodgy heart and liver, a hole in her nose, and ELEVEN front teeth missing.

She also had a needle mark on an arm and was high on a cocktail of nine drugs when she died in a hotel bath in LA.

Grisly evidence from police and medical teams revealed for the first time today shows how swathes of skin were burnt off Whitney’s back as she plunged into the scalding water.

It also resulted in “skin slippage” on her legs. Sources say the temperature could have been 66°C (150°F) when she climbed into the tub.

Six hours after her death, the water was still 33°C (91.4°F). She may have been so out of her mind on drugs she did not notice how hot her bath was, according to medical sources.

A spoon covered with cocaine was found in her hotel suite at the Beverly Hilton hotel. Traces of the drug were found in her system plus marijuana, anxiety pills Xanax, muscle relaxant Flexeril, allergy medicine Benadryl and painkiller Ibuprofen.

Whitney, 48, was also scarred by decades of cosmetic surgery, booze-fuelled fights and falls, and possible suicide attempts.

She had marks on her stomach, chest and upper left thigh believed to be from cosmetic procedures including breast implants.

And she had a scar on her inner left forearm that sources claim may have been self-inflicted. Days before Whitney was found dead in February she stumbled out of a Los Angeles club with her legs and arms dripping blood.

Pals claim she tried to slash herself to death in the toilets after seeing her on-off lover Ray-J chatting to other women.

Whitney, who had an abusive 14-year marriage to singer Bobby Brown, was also covered in small bruises and cuts.

Well that doesn't look good...

It's surprising she lasted as long as she did.

Todays Harm Reduction message; If you are constantly fucked on drugs and like having hot baths, buy a thermometer

That is the saddest story I have ever heard!

Poor girl. At least she was on nine drugs and got to IV something before dying.

A spoon covered in cocaine? I think we all expected that one.

So sad. It doesn't matter how famous anyone is. Your life can still suck. :(

What's sad is the majority of comments I read on any news website which has to do with the death of a user are along the lines of, "I have no sympathy for these scumbags - one less junkie to deal with."

People can be so cruel and ignorant to the fact that many of these "scumbags" may have turned to drugs as a means of attempting to escape - at least mentally - a traumatic situation. They've found their way of coping with said issues by way of self-medication. And while - clearly - it may not have been the best way to manage whatever problems the user has to deal with, it could have been the only one so far that's actually worked as expected.

In all honesty, if I had access to an unlimited supply of my drug of choice, I wouldn't be on MMT. That's the big difference between me and - for example - a former alcoholic who told me he's been through the constant opiate craving I'm looking to fix. Actually, "no, you haven't been what I'm going through. You always had a variety of bars, liquor and beer stores as well as the occasional Listerine from 7-Eleven to grab your pure, unadalterated (other than what's supposed to be in there) fix. I've woken up and have gone through countless days without being able to get mine because my dealers many a times at the worst possible time were out, were in jail or dead."

am I the only one who thinks its morally wrong for THIS to be in the news.

I could see how and why she died might be considered journalism but telling us shit like plastic surgery, hole in her nose, etc seems to be more of a gross invasion of her privacy and, direpectful to her, and her family. Weather she is dead or not.

I guess celeberities, who dont have a right to privacy when they are alive, certainly cant have them when they are dead. But imo I really think this article pushed things a bit far. Painting the picture they did with their whole "ELEVEN teeth" crap. What does that have to do with her death?

^ It's just voyeurism for people with nothing to do but get off over gossiping about people they don't know, celebrity news usually is.

It's important to note that we are all human beings and when we all eventually die one day, you will stop caring about your corporeal form as you have left it for good.

Despite knowing her propensity for drugs, I'd have never guessed she would have had attempted suicide.

Sometimes it lets us all know we are all struggling with something. No number of prestigious awards will keep someone happy forever.

I am sorry but when your in the public eye like she was you give up your privacy rights....

This is very true.

Some people put success, fame, and their work ethic ahead of their personal happiness.

We would be wise to find a happy medium. <3

I have no sympathy or respect for you either, Imagine having cravings for something that slowly but surely destroys pretty much your entire body, can kill you on withdrawal and is fucking advertised to you everywhere you look and you are almost looked down upon if you dont take it. What if you have no money for alcohol?

Stop whining about not being about to get opiates, its life threatening if a hardcore alcoholic runs out of alcohol. You go through some pain and cravings, get over it.

So typical though, the Dr.s blame only the street drugs and none of the prescribed ones. I saw the other article where they said the prescribed meds "didn't contribute" to death. Like it's totally a sham to protect the meds credibility so they can keep over prescribing them. If you look up what other meds can do if bad side effects vs what happened to her it definitely could make sense. I'm by no means saying coke wasn't involved it probably was partly but to say the other meds weren't?

They have such an agenda to make anything manufactured seem safe but the truth is it's just as serious as street drugs. Some cases more dangerous.

I notice the article said "a needle mark" as if just one? Or was that something the ambulance injected reviving her?

The scars and hole in nose could have been from long time ago by the way. The lost teeth I highly doubt were drug use, her drugs aren't known to cause teeth damage just portrayed that way in media. Those could have been from accidents or abuse.

I'm just trying to say don't jump to the media's conclusions they try to paint to sensationalize and have their agenda. Which seems to be painting her as addicts so people shake heads and say shame what drugs do, to distract the people from what really may have happened to her and how dangerous the meds they take on a daily basis are.

The bad thing about people thinking it was only street drugs is it causes them to have the mind set of blindly accepting what dr.s prescribe which has led to so many ruined lives, just out of people I know and deaths out of statistics from those I don't know.

This does scare me a little though despite knowing this, cocaine is dangerous. I know I use far too much. Everyone has their own demons.

I hope she can rest in peace now.

So they have no right to privacy at all? That's BS. It's one thing to have your photo taken when you walk down the street, another to have these kind of deeply personal details thrown around by rag papers looking for a quick buck.

Totally agree with Crankinit. Having some information shared is one thing, being chased and hit by people with cameras trying to provoke you so they get a bad pic of you angry is too far. Having personal things thrown out into public after dying is also too far. In some other countries it's not like this, it's awful how we invade privacy of celebrities.

Sad story.
I can't believe that she burned off so much of her skin without (apparently) realizing.
That is also really sad, to me.

Lots of people want to say bad things about either the victim or the media for reporting it, but this is reality.
Media reports on stars. Stars use drugs. Drug users (and others) die.

If you see her as a symbol of something, you might be angry or want to complain.
But if you see her as a human being, it is hard not to feel bad for her.

I think this is not right any way to disclose such private information about her as people should not forget that this info is also read by her close relatives who may be very hurt by this news and by the fact that the memory of their lovely person is darkened by this info spreading...

When your photo can costs tens of thousands, your signature worth thousands, possessions and more.... Don't bitch about it, it is part of the game.... I would give up my privacy to just sign my name & take pictures for the price bags of money... Its just the price you pay when your life is in the public eye.... I think it is pretty damn fair

A lot of people in this country (the US) seem to enjoy watching others suffer to distract themselves from their own suffering. It is sad and sickening. My grandmother is like this. I'm breaking myself of this habit I didn't even recognize I had. I'm glad that I see this at only 19, not to brag on myself or anything. I just wish people in general would be more concerned with bettering themselves and helping each other become better people rather than spending so much time being concerned with how messed up she was rather than being like hey, we need to try to help this person.

Not to say she would've accepted it or anything but shit, just talking shit about her didn't help her. I feel bad for the poor lady but hopefully she is in a better place now.

actually I think street drugs are more dangerous due to the lack of quality controls. Nowadays people are spraying weed with febreeze to add weight that wont evaporate, levamisole to the cocaine so nobody will want to snort it anymore unless they want holes in their nose. Then when you try to make crack with levamisole/coke mix, it all cooks up into a rock and is impossible to remove. Regular levamisole ingestion mixed with a lack of sleep cocaine causes is the perfect cocktail for getting early leukemia since it basically completely destroys your bone marrow.

At least you can sue the drug companies if you get some tainted pharmaceuticals. You can't sue the drug cartels.
