excellent movie deserving of it's own thread.
like this review on RT said "Read it as a parable or as a horror movie. Read it as the story of love between a girl and her dog. Read it however you want."
i couldn't help but think of "The Birds" by hitchcock. there are some really beautiful scenes which i read didn't use any special effects, pretty amazing... the dogs should win an award imo =)
The film follows the mixed-breed dog Hagen who moves, along with his guardian Lili, in with Lili's father. Unwilling to pay a harsh "mongrel" fine imposed by the government, Lili's father abandons him. Determined to find Lili again, Hagen soon attracts a large pack of half-breed followers who start a seemingly organised uprising against their human oppressors.
