No one's said Danger mouse yet!!
So I will:
Danger Mouse
INVADER ZIM
and of course everything on Adult Swim
and the new one on Sci-fi; Tripping the rift
Special mention to my favorite japanese childrens cartoons:
The Little Mermaid by Toei animation - waay before the Disney version...the little mermaid, named Marina, actually dies in the end. This cartoon haunts me till today LOL. One of my favorite animes.
Little Women or Wakakusa No Yon Shimai (Four sisters of young
grass). made in 1980 by Toei Animation.
1. Clone High (I cannot believe no-one has mentioned this yet. Funniest cartoon ever. Quick run down, world leaders and prominent figures are cloned and put into high school together. There's a twisted love triangle between Abe Lincoln, Cleopatra and Joan of Arc. Also features Gahndi and JFK, this cartoon is gold.)
2. Pokemon
3. Original Transformers (It's funny how no-one has said Mighty Machine Men)
4. Spider-man (90's version)
5. Spirited Away (Although I think this will be removed as soon as A Scanner Darkly is released)
I found my favorite TOEI Little Mermaid on You Tube...my god seeing it after all these years makes me tear She actually turns to foam in the end.....i havent seen this since i was five years old but I remember everything so clearly! The japanese song haunts me still.......The Disney version pales in comparison to this for me.
These are in Japanese, but the version i watched as a child was dubbed in English. Marina's Song 1 Marina's Song 2
The sad ending, dubbed in French (cant find English!) Bye Marina
Also Anime Swan Lake (Hakucho No Mizumi).....i love anime fairy tales from the seventies
Now this version features Mr Tchaikovski's beautiful Swan Lake music, which is integrated really well into the movie's soundtrack. Swan Lake
MY favourite is Drawn Together .its a Animated comedy show.in which eight members of different different personlities live together in one house.i love to watch drawn together.
Of all time? Any Looney Tunes, hands-down. For shows still in production, that would be either Superjail, with The Venture Bros. and Adventure Time about neck-and-neck.
