Since the drugs that are currently illegal are pretty much arbitrary, it would be a silly option anyway. Pot is illegal, but alcohol is legal? P. cubensis is illegal, but A. muscaria is legal? GHB is illegal, but DXM is legal? Etc.

I will only say this: since alcohol is legal so should be the most effective treatment for hangover which I consider a very serious condition be it usually of short duration. In all my 45 years I always found that taking a moderate dose of a relatively mild stimulant such as Ritalin or Dexedrine kills the booze blues pronto. I insist on *moderate* dose, say 20mg Rit or 10mg Dex, plus effervescent Advil dropped in a large glass of Gatorade to deal wit headache and dehydration. I love good beer and fine wine but haven't touched booze in 10 years, thought of inevitable hangover kills the mood.

Perhaps I'll try BZP and see if it does the trick.

Cocaine, Ketamine & Opium are all legal via prescription so I'm assuming this question would be along the lines of if they could be available over the counter or something like that, right?

I don't think that all drugs should be legal. I understand that just because a drug becomes legal doesn't mean that everyone is going to start using them but there would be some serious consequences. As a former junkie, obtaining H wasn't the problem, neither so much was trying to avoid the police when picking up or using. The problem was trying to obtain cash to support my habit. How did I do that? I committed many violent crimes and stole from everybody. I got off lucky with only 4 months in jail but even I admit, now being clean from opioids, I deserved worse of a punishment.

I think that the crime rate would rise if heroin or methamphetamine (in crystallized form, not the prescription pills) were legalized because the problem with these drugs are the crimes committed to obtain enough cash to support the habits they create.

But marijuana is a beautiful drug and its a crime that its illegal when alcohol, a much more lethal (not to forget neurotoxic) substance, is legal. High potency marijuana, like the grass administered in California, is incredibly effective as an anti-anxiety agent. Its a much safer alternative to benzodiazepines (due to their incredible physical addiction potential) and have much less side effects than the antidepressant route.

I'm on Klonopin and just realized that I've been rambling on. Marijuana and MDMA should be legal in my opinion. Thats my vote.

Just cannabis, anything else, I think their would be way too many burn outs and people taking drugs irresponsibly.

The main problem is that prohibition stops people from being properly educated about drugs.

With legal drugs and proper education i really do believe the number of people with serious drug problems will decrease.

What people need to be told is that the addictiveness of a drug is very strongly related to how fast the come up is (think cocaine vs crack) obviously there's other factors aswell). This should be common sense, sadly it doesn't appear to be, even amongst drug users.

If you only ever take your drugs by oral ingestion and set out to only ever take drugs occasionally in social settings then it's not going to be hard to keep your drug use under control.

If you do find yourself with a problem it won't be any near as severe.
Also it won't just creep up on you. You'll know for a long time beforehand that your drug use is getting out of control, during this time you could seek help before it gets any worse.

If you snort drugs that affect the brain's "reward system" then there's a high risk of addiction.

If you inhale/inject drugs that affect the brain's "reward system" then you'd really want to be a master of self control. Something I'm sensible enough to know I'm not, I hope you are too! :)

I really wouldnt legalize anything but I do support decriminalization of everything. I kinda like the way that amsterdam has there legal system set up, with the natural substances legal and everything else decriminalized, not saying the netharlends are perfect but it is proven that it works pretty good.

All of them.
It would save the government a shit load of money from what they waste in war against drugs.
How about the people that get exploited and harmed in the manufacture, transportation and et cetera of them?
It would free up alot of room in prisons.
People would not be scared to get help with the fear of getting in trouble. When I took alot of ecstasy, I almost felt as though I was going to pass out and vomit, however, I was too scared to tell any of my friends with the fear that they'd call the ambulance.
The drugs wouldn't also be cut with other substances, which in the case of ecstasy is more harmful than the drug itself most of the time.
Also, with ecstasy, the clubs could have pill testing kits in them, but however, since it's a class A drug now, if they have them they get shut down because they're supporting drug use. The government could also publish a list of good pills, but they can't since it'd be also promoting drug use.

I even convinced my Dad that all drugs should be legal.

I thought about saying I would legalize all drugs, but there would be problems with that as well. I believe for a society to have all drugs be legal, it would require a much higher level of personal responsibility. I don't believe as a society, we should have to take care of tweakers and alcoholics who cannot control their use and want to refer to their problem as a disease on order to get out of responsibility for their actions. I think one day we can get there, but it would be a tough switch from the way things are now to suddenly having everything be legal and being completely responsible.

I voted for pot, lsd, e, and shrooms to be legal. I don't know about all those research chems and what not because I don't know anything about them. But I do believe these drugs should be legalized and harm reduction education should be put in place for kids in schools.

I'm not an expert on the subject of economics, but...

Wouldn't legalization (and the resulting possibility of regulation) mean lower prices for these drugs?

I'm torn up on the issue. I think all drugs, just because I mean.. Alcohol is legal and it is addicting and I consider it a drug as well. It just takes a bit longer maybe to develop a stong problem, but doesn't mean that it doesn't kill people too. I dont' think it's any different from any other drug.

I agree. I don't think that use would increase by a ton, just because it is legal. Legality of a substance doesn't stop many people anyways. The fact that drugs are illegal just put so many bad stereotypes in society.. =/

I would legalize only the Psychedelics, because in my opinion you cant get as addicted from them, as for instance from cocaine Opiates etc. And for me they open you up to a more social ecological Vew about the World.

If everybody would be taking Psychedelics, we would have a better World.

Bye Salviasca

I would legalize ALL drugs. The only drugs that I would start using would be the psychedelics that I currently have no access to. I would never go out and start snorting meth just because Its legal, but even drugs like meth should be legal.

I've changed my mind. I would legalize:

- marijuana
- psilocybin mushrooms
- opium
- psychedelic phenethylamines and tryptamines

No for ketamine and GHB. The former is easy to synthesize if you're really after it and the latter would become a more popular date-rape drug. But who cares if clonazepam is so easy to get, it can used anyway.
