I'd legalize any drug that doesn't produce harmful consequences to other persons than the user. Seem the fairest choice IMO.

I wouldn't legalize any drug because moderation doesn't seem to be something the masses can do (including myself, if it were legal). But i do think that a lot of (i'm from Australia) our penalties for drug offences are ridiculous!

Out of that list, the one i would pick would be - GHB - Just because it is my favorite. It is legal throughout Europe, yet in Australia it has the harshest penalties of any other drug, this annoys me.

I probably am going to be getting flamed for this, but the only drug I would legalize would be marijuana. It would be awesome to have all drugs legalized, but there are way too many people that do not know how to use drugs safely.

That would be the logical approach, yes. But... Try to consider the fact that people that want to do drugs do them even if they're illegal. So legalizing them you just spare them all the dangerous impurities, adulterants and fluctuating purity which can easily lead to overdose. In my objective opinion, by no means a subjective drug user opinion, I'd say legalizing dangerous drugs would actually kill less people and make society safer than keeping them illegal because of the above mentioned reasons. No more PMA sold as ecstasy. No more heroin that is sometimes 10% purity and sometimes 60%. No more cocaine cut with all that shit. You know exactly what and how much you get. No more criminals and gangsters with no sense of morality becoming billionaires and owning whole cities.

And there won't be more people using drugs if they're legalized. Look at the Netherlands. Pot is essentially legal but almost all other European countries have a higher percentage of pot smokers.

Weed, Opium And Mushrooms I'm shocked arn't already legalized. They're a hella lot safer than cigs and alcohol, that's for sure.

I'm not shocked about the Opium and Mushrooms. You can overdose on Opium and Mushrooms...

Keep the drugs away from the populace... They might learn something. :\

I feel that all drugs, everything from chocolate to coca leaves to ketamine... legalized.

Of course, there should be the same provisos for purchasing drugs that there are for purchasing alcohol (age and so forth) and possibly some proviso that you have to have a criminal record that has no offences based on consumption of that drug. For example, if you have an incidence on your criminal record where your were arrested for assault while under the influence of meth, than no more meth for you. Theoretically, this could also keep people who from misbehaving too badly, under threat of terminating their "Right to Buy" drug liscence that you may apply for on your 18th birthday (using peoples habits to further the public good, how cheerful :\ ) And, if you were a *relatively* good, responsible adult individual, the whole modern pharmacopeia would be open to you at LOW, LOW PRICES! =D Ahh, in a perfect world...

Also, for lots interesting facts regarding that bit of gifted idiocy known as the "War on Drugs", read "Under the Influence" by Preston Peet. Lots of good info w/ sources, I bought a copy at Borders recently for $3.99 (whoops, I forgot we're not supposed to discuss prices... oh well;) )

"It is not drugs that can be abused, but people."

Legalise them all, Even the ones i havent heard of before like the 4Aco family.
because if i said "oh i only want weed, or alcohol or crack to be legal" i would have to punch myself in the head repeatedly for being a fucking dirty hippocrite.

I don't need legalization, I just want the system to be able to help me with my fucking habit. Right now, junkies don't stand a chance.

All substances should be 100 percent legal.
no government should have the right to tell other people what they can or cannot do with their own bodies, I understand the concern about trafficking, but legalized drugs (from cannabis to heroin) would result in less gang violence, and less money to the black market.

Pretty much everything except meth and crack. Those two drugs would likely be made unnecessary via access to better drugs, anyway.

Better? Better? better then Meth?

yea legalize everything. it's your decision what you do to yourself. but first, people should be educated about all drugs in school, the cons AND the pros

Everything if I was in charge of the country. The American government would be able to pay back its national debt easily with taxes on drugs and no money would have to be spent on shitty DEA faggotry.

I can't fathom how somebody could say that all drugs should be legalized.

I cant fathom how a highschooler can have such high n mighty opinions.

anything that grows or derives from our planet should never be held bak from the people, resopnsiblity education should be paramount, but that would stop a lot of control governments ect have over us... IMO most chemicals are bad and shouldnt be used ( although im a hypocrit):)

All legalized. I'm not sure if it would be fair of me to ask only the drugs i do to be legalized, however the truly addictive ones perhaps should be closely monitored and regulated so as to prevent people from truly ruining their lives.

Marijuana/Hashish- medical and responsible recreational use by adults.
MDMA(Ecstasy)- MDMA therapy and recreational use by adults
Dimethyltryptamine(DMT)- why not lol
Mescaline- it has been a religous practice in the states way before we got here.
