The drugs.
My first rave
I think (this is really testing the memory) came
before my first pill.
But, to be honest (and I'm ashamed to admit it now
), I didn't really like my first rave at all. The second I liked a little better because I had drugs then I think.
But I still wasn't into "the scene"; you can't really get into raving if you only like the drug taking aspect in my opinion.
After starting with my first pill, which was probably 2 or 3 months after my first rave (at a guess - may have been longer). I took pills and goey on a semi-regular basis at house parties and trashy under 18's dance thingamabob's probably for 6 months to a year, or maybe even longer actually.
I then had a break for a while, over the next year or so I grew up some more, I still dropped occasionally, but the big difference was that my taste in music slowly changed. I started to like different music (mostly hardcore), and got slowly more into raves. Since about the start of this year, I've gotten more and more interested in the music and with that the drugs I suppose.
I've been raving for quite a while I guess, but haven't really become properly
interested until the start of this year. Previously to that I just liked the novelty and the excuse to take drugs.
I've never been as keen as some with the music, and probably never will be. There are very few tracks of happy hardcore that I will hear and won't know, but ask me to name the song, or even worse the DJ, and I'm stumped.
That said, I still love it. I didn't always, but I don't really think that that matters. There are many things I didn't like the first time but did like the second, or even the third or fourth, in all aspects of life. And that works vice versa too.
Anyway, that's a way longer answer than was wanted or expected, I'm still more than a touch stoned in truth, which is probably why that came across a bit spiritual.
Oh well, I'm going to go and watch unbreakable now.
