It's fair to make the assumption that the Wellbutrin is not the real problem, and that it's one of the other drugs I have been using responsible for the depression - so I will adress these issues...
First, what other drugs have I taken? It's a short list - narcotics, namely OxyContin, a little heroin from time to time, fentanyl patches, hydrocodone combos, etc.. could these drugs be responsible for the depression? Yes, they certinly could as depression accompanies withdrawal... the thing is, I have been free of these drugs for a week - yes, this doesn't mean I am back to "baseline" - but I have been playing this game for almost 3 years, that is, a few weeks of narcotic use followed by a few weeks of non-use - the only thing that was differnt this time was the Wellbutrin... furthermore, if it was related to the narcotics, then all would have been better when I picked up use... sure, the dope eased the pain but I have kicked enough times to know that when the body is suffering narcotic withdrawal, if you smack a 100ug/hour fentanyl patch on, you feel better... if you load a rig with some high quality smack, all the pain and mental anguish fades away... if you rail up an OC-40, you are NOT SO DEPRESSED YOU CAN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE ... I have used and abused narcotics long enough to know how I react to them, or their abscence..
What about the benzos? Quick lesson on drug dependance - increased use doesn't induce withdrawal symptoms, it's the oposite...
I was feeling fine, then within a few days after I stopped taking the Wellbutrin I gradually got worse... yes, it could be attributed to narcotics or benzos, but you don't know the situation well enough to make that diagnosis...
Think what you like, but I gotta say this had more to do with the Wellbutrin then anything else...
